That looks legit, but try this one...I have open office on my work PC so I know it's legit. It's just a free alternative to Microsoft that works very well:

I've made some headway on my I-77 track, got the picture into rhino last night and started forming the track. I thought I had the right surfaces selected but ended up moving the back slop where the top of the track should be. The inside also ended up being a little rough also, so I'll have address that. The video has been really helpful and I look forward to your video about the alp file. I'll post some pics later after I address a few problem and do some more work on the track.

Thanks McClung! Please post some pics tonight. So you're tracing it in Rhino from the real track? If so that's great. It is tricky when you're first learning to make tracks to accidentally select the first row of verts outside the track, so just make sure you save a different copy of the track before doing something like that if you're not sure. If you watch the second video it goes a little bit into talking about alp files and how to put in lights and fences and such, but I'll probably need to go more in depth later

That's great to hear Alex! What track are you making? Real or fictional? And was the video good help for you?

Well here is what I've got thus far, Its not much but its a start.

I'm pretty sure I have the rough outline of the track. Now I just have to fine tune my lines and add the banking. Then I'll work on the walls, stands, ect. :)

THat's actually looking nice man! Looks like a very unique track with an odd shape, hopefully it races fairly smooth with that shape. Looks like a lot of fun!

I was planning to show a video showing how to trace a track in dtr2 but it looks like you have it down pretty good, too. Can't wait to see what comes of it. You picked up on it great it looks like.

McClung if you need help painting the dirt for your track and stuff I can paint it, but it's up to you. That's looking like a cool little track so far, glad to see you've picked up on it well. Watch the second video and maybe it will help you on how we do the alp some

at the end when you copy from raw file to cvs file, mine doesn't look anything like the one in the video. Any ideas?
