To get the game to work online, simply download RivaTuner Statistics Server and click the + sign to add dtr2.exe and then set the frame rate to be 120FPS!

yes it helped a lot I cant wait to get really good at this. and can u import a picture of a track and see that track in rhino and convert the points like that will it read that and make a track like that if its 3d pictures or is that not possible?

No. You can import a picture of a real track into Rhino by going to View>Background Bitmap>Place, though.

All this does is let you place a picture behind the track like if you're making a real life track and you want it to be as accurate as possible you can place the picture behind it like that and then move all the points on the track you're working on to line up with it. But no it doesn't actually allow you to make a track based of the pictures, you have the manually move the points yourself to line up with the picture you placed into Rhino. It's just there as a guide so you can see where everything needs to be.

hey shock you know the cleaned 3dm that you did in the other post how would you put them into the game for example I did Bloomington but I don't have a folder with all the textures and everything in it?

Take a track made from Bloomington and use that folder. There are lots of tracks made from Bloomington out there. Just look for a de2 file with the file size 616 kb I think.

You'll have to download excel as a torrent from www.thepiratebay.se. If you don't know what a torrent is then download a free spreadsheet program like excel such as Open Office SpreadSheet and follow f1's rhino import/export tutorial here on vlr

k thanks ya I know what a torrent is that's how I download movies and other games and stuff like that.

have you ever heard of 3dsmax? its another program that u can make tracks take a look at it on you tube tell me what you think about that idk u might like that one to just givin you a possible idea u never know it might be eaiser see idk cause im just getting the hang of it but that's what my sisters ex uses and he flys thru stuff with that one. but take a look at it and post here and tell me what you think theres also a video of someone creating a track on youtube.

Yeah I'm familiar with 3dsmax but I'm not sure the file format is the same and we can already do everything we want in Rhino3d so it would be pointless to learn a new program if the one I have is good, but thanks. I'm gonna try to start on the second video now.

You put them in the wrong folder then. And plus it looks like you exported the Unique Verts from the DE2 file instead of the object polygons like you are supposed to.

Try putting the macros in this folder in Windows 7:

C:\Users\Howard\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART

Howard would obviously be your username....

use the rhino import/export tutorial i made instead of macros Eric.Its way faster than macros and really really easy.

Well has anyone else tried and succeeded/failed in working on a track since watching the video? Kinda sucks that only a couple people have seemed to try anything with it. If you have any questions post them here, and like I did with DCNation, I can address them in an upcoming video. You had some really great questions DC and so I thought it'd be good to include the answers in the video. So if anyone has anymore questions or issues please post them here, I really want to hear the feedback.
