RDrunner wins the Rodeo 40

Well guys, The race is over and it was a beautiful race...A clear moonlit sky was up above the famed Rodeo Speedway, I will try to post more later, but here is a summary and the Results, It was a great race.

VLR_Rdrunner got the pole with a blistering time, he was the only one who qualified in the teens. Now for the Amazing Race: Right from the get go Shock went to the outside of rdrunner and took the lead, as he knew that this would be his only chance to win. A three wide battle then ensued between Rdrunner, Shock, and tink, but Shock escaped with the lead among the frenzy, as tink accidently got knocked into neutral. For the next 5 or so laps Rdrunner and Shock went back and forth, vying for the Prestigous first place spot, but Shock gathered up a little momentum and pulled out to a two car length lead over rdrunner, but on lap 12 rdrunner finally managed to get by Shock for the lead, and they stayed close for a couple but then rdrunner began to pull away ever so slightly, and then JTR began gaining on Shock on about lap 20, and he made a fantastic pass to take over second position, because of all of the battling rdrunner managed to stretch his lead to about 3 seconds over the two. For the next few laps the most battling was going on for second, as JTR would pull away ever so slightly over Shock, only for Shock to reel him in at the turns. Then, on about lap 30, VLR_Angus comes out of nowhere and gives Shock a major boost just as JTR began pulling away again, this allowed Shock to catch JT once again and renew the battle that began earlier in the race, it also led to the best lap of the day of a 14.90 from Shock, and he took over the second place position from JTR. By this time rdrunner had stretched out his lead to an amazing five and a half seconds. Shock and JT battled up until the last lap, but JT still managed to escape with second with rdrunner coming in first by about 7 seconds. So congratulations to all who participated, and congratulations to the winner of the Rodeo 40, VLR_rdrunner, good luck next week at Bloomington, here are the results from the race:

Here are the Awards
Dominator of the Race- VLR_rdrunner; rdrunner got around Shock on lap 11 and never looked back for a dominating win of over 7 seconds! So congratulations goes out to him
Tough Break Award- VLR_tink79; Tink was battling for the lead with rdrunner and Shock when his car got stuck in Neutral, and he wrecked, He never fully recovered and managed a sixth place finish.
Fast Time Award- VLR_Shock; VLR_Shock turned a lap of 14.90 thanks to some bigtime help from Angus in the closing laps, this award should really go to rdrunner for a lap time of 15.02. So congratulations guys!
Sportsmanship Award- Everyone wins this award because of the the great race, It was very clean and fun for all who participated, nice job guys, congratulations on putting on one heckuva show.
Hard Charger Award: This award goes to VLR_JTR who came from his starting spot in 5th all the way up to second in just a few laps, so nice job on that award, and Good Job to all on the good race...
