And Boot...Like i said I wasnt bringing that up to start anything on here just wanted to use it as an example. Drivers will still be able to go run anywhere at anytime. I have no idea what kind of #'s this will bring to those teams that will have Right Call and those who dont. However I know Im willing to give this a shot and see what happens. It may be the best idea this game has seen in quite awile but it may be a disaster...time will tell

oh yea i understand all that.. i mean im not fighting with any of this at all..im just asking questions so that way if they get answered..then everybody will know how this is going to be...but like i said..I'll join the commitee if allowed and give it a try to see where it goes..so im game for it.

Thats the thing with this...You can have your rules set up however you like and Right Call would make decisions according to your rules. At WFO if you are at fault you get credited with last place in that race and everyone moves up 1 spot (which is how its dont at my home track). So different teams will run their races and their rules

I hope, I have set this up to where teaming wont happen.
Heres why 2 persons from each team are on the committee they are appointed by ballet of 3 to 5 names from each team, Then everyone votes for the 2 people from each team they think will be the fairest in makeing the Right Call. A team can not vote on there teams ballet. And thats your Right Call committee. During a league race a Right call can only take place if 3 or more members are present. If there are not 3 members the Host will send a email to the committee ask for the Right Call they will have apprx. 24 hours to resond a unanimous decision. I hope I answered that where you understand it.

I love the idea about voting for who is and is not on the commitee. That way I think we will have the best people on the game viewing and making the calls.

Boot , Thank you for considering Right Call, I agree with you on that method of penalty. I have always thoght that was th proper way. But I believe each team has the right to make there own rules for Races, I do belive you will see some teams changing their rules. as we make a better playing field for racers. One thing to clear up Right Call does not make any of the rules that teams race by. They only make a final decision to the rules that were posted for that race.

now that idea i do not agree with at all..cuz if your wanting it like nascar,football and what not..they didnt take votes on who was on the commitee...just if your smart enough..you got the job or title..whichever..so the voting on who is on the commitee is one thing that i do not agree with....the ppl that consist of the commitee should be 2 ppl from each ACTIVE team that play the game..the commitee should be be based and made of pickers and chooses with votes.

I would really like to know what teams are willing to try this because we have alittle over a month to hash everything out and get all the guidelines in place

sry bout that..let me rephrase..the commitee SHOULD NOT be based on a vote to see who is allowed on the commitee..it should be open for every team and have Owner and Co-Owner on it from each team..sry bout that..i was typen and eatting at the same time.

Now this is going to be more for the DTR2 community than anything else, which is why I think they are wanting the community to vote to see who gets on. Now every team that is in it will be represented. Wether you, Karl or I would get voted into the commitee is up to the community.

i can see both sides of this - how to select the commitee

voting could lead to a popularity contest
voting could lead to a very stout , well rounded commitee

owner/co-owner could lead to more headaches for them (if they rule against thier own team members)
owner/co-owner could be good , cuz they are the ones(supposedly) who understand the rules more , being that they wrote them

voting could be difficult in the aspect that , maybe someone uses more than 1 email - and/or more than one online racing name , how could we ensure a fair and unbiased vote?

what if a team owner doesnt get the number of votes to be on this commitee? does he get mad and abandon the idea?

im just thinking out loud here again
the more we talk about it , i think the more likely we are to come to an agreement on something that could potentially be very good

If i ever have to go to court..i want you as my lawyer cuz you can think of stuff quick..and that always works against the judge when u can come up with answers and questions like that.lol

and TXR..once i talk to the guys i'll let them know and im sure that would be willing to give it a try.

Answer: I know as of right now I have a ton of headaches!!! so much so that I am really considering not being in charge of anymore races for along time...

Answer: Somehow we would have to compile a list of people on each team and then tally their vote. Or some1 smarter than me will have to come up with something so you have to log in and match up that vote with a team member...not real sure on this one.

Answer: Hopefully every team owner that decides to do this will understand this is a possibility and once they sign up will go with whatever the vote is. There will be no way of "making" anyone stay.

if we do go ahead and impliment something like what we are talking about , i hope there will be a pre determined time period , in the future so we can look back and make sure we are going about it the correct way , as it was intended

and also , that if a team deems that they would like to opt out of the commitee , that is a possiblilty that exists

and what if , a new group of kids/guy show up out of no where and start a new team and or series , how long do we wait to invite them to be part , or would it be up for review annually

i know im getting ahead of myself by asking that , but maybe its something to think about
