That was Ices list.It is not the list that will be used for this series.

see i want to see what ices post gets as a response
i disagree with some in there , while im not listed (which is fine)
i still disagree with others in those categories

its a tricky deal tryng to rank drivers and thier skill sets
while its easy to pick the top handful of drivers , the real task coomes seperating the the drivers on the cusp on each tier

i may post again after i take a look at the stuff karl has linked

i dont want this to turn out like the midnight madness series when bw is winning by 1000 points with like 1 more week of racing to go.. and i feel like woods would run away with it if he was in tier 2 with the people you listed in there

also... my understanding (may NOT be fact) .... there wont just be 10 tier 1 , 10 tier 2 , and 10 tier 3 -- there may be up X amunt of drivers - for arguement sake ill say 16 in each tier , so there will be heat races t determine the AMain in each tier , each night

I would suggest an 8 week schedule (maybe even at 1 track) and after the 8 weeks are up the top 3 from each would move up and the bottom 3 from each would move down. or maybe 2 from each would move up/down

idk how your gonna be even close to someone who won 11 races, kev didnt even miss a race and bw has him by 1000 points, i think geisler missed 2 races bw has 1000 points obviously over 20 races kev and geisler should be grouped up for sure..

my only thing negative about it is , the deal we are lookin at right now will have different chassis for each "tier" and that doesnt look like it would plug into that system

oddly i think i was stumbling upon soomething like what karl made , i was working with an idea of 8 drivers locked in , and 2 add ins each week , just hadnt gotten that far with it yet - but that wasnt for this series

guys this is not the list i would actually submit. I just really went through and through some names that I could think of right off the top of my head. And even though there will be some poeple ticked off I really think this would be a great way for people to really know where they stand. Like DB said the hard part will be figuring out who is the last in and who is the last out.

See I would like it to be several weeks (im thinkin 8ish) before someone is moved up or down. Just so you dont have 1 good/bad week to move up/down

i have never ran the midnight deal , so i dont know how they do points
if smeone wins every single week , lets call it a 10 week season (easier for math sake)
in 10 weeks , win every week at 100 points = 1000 points
(in my mind 2nd place shuld award 98 point) so if the same driver got 2nd every week iin 10 week season - 2nd every week at 98 = 980 points
3rd every week at 97 = 970 points
4th every week at 86 = 960 points

so the 1000 point difference has smething to do with the way the points structure is built , and the possibility of drivers not showing up , and or not being as consistant in thier finishes

ok , that enough of the off topic , back to talking about ranking drivers and how i belong in tier 4 , lower than anyone is even talking about

ICE did you forget JFR_17? I'd put him in tier one or very high in tier 2. Also McGee should be in tier 1 IMO.

But JFR_17 has finished 6th out of 46 cars at VLR and 4th out of 42 this season in four races and hasn't finished below 13th. If he made the first two races he'd be third or fourth in points most likely.

how far back do we look to rank drivers?
i read shocks post and got that thought?
do we base it off of recent activity? this year(past 3months)
past 6 months?
past year?

if its just this year , i belong in tier 4 like i said above , i dont think ive finished a fkn heat race in 2012 , but i been battling my own demons of retiring and anger with dtr2 , but im back and ready to give it my all again

there is plenty of time to work through all of this.How does everyone feel about seeing a non official(but very close)ranking list?Would it stir the pot up too much or could everyone act civil about it?

No,i started working on this a week ago,and between myself,shock,rain and a2d we are working on the official list now.These guys stepped up to help do this and i thank them for their time.

how many are you looking at per tier F1?

the top 2 tiers would be 15 with the third being unlimited.
i feel that 15 leaves a little wiggle room for drivers that cannot run or refuse to run certain chassis'.
