Macon Speedway in Macon Illinois is the my next track to be released. The track has been stated as both 1/4 (.25) Mile and 1/5 (.20) Mile at different times. It has been touted as "The World's fastest 1/5th mile dirt track" for many years. It was also formerly known as "The Other Brickyard." "Other" being a reference to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway's nickname, and "Brickyard" due to buried bricks rising up to the tracks surface from time to time.Bob Sargent teamed up with NASCAR stars Ken Schrader, Kenny Wallace, and Tony Stewart as co-owners of Macon Speedway.

This track is a 1/5 mile around the bottom and a 1/4 mile around the top if that makes any sense to you...

Post specific track pictures that you have Yenko, I know he could use them. I think that's the main reason he's making this track is for you and the support you've had for dtr2

The 1stphoto is from Macon..Smoke in 2010 making a unannounced race..I'll dig some track pictures up and post them later on..Can't wait for this one...jet fighter planes in a gym is what Macon is...

Macon first glance....dont judge...very early yet...walls arent even covered .

Looks good so far...To be nearer to real need to shrink it down..wakeeny from DTR1 would be close to the real with lots of banking.. Really you think Wakeeny is that close in size?
Looks like to me in videos any way that that its got more straights than that? with hairpin turns. i think laptimes here are gonna be around 11.00 flat in a g5. if ya got some more opinions i would be glad to hear them bud.i'm not so far that i cant redo. i want it right as it can be. Especially coming from someone that runs or ran there.please give me more info bud. Thanks.

Plz don't do Wakeeney. I just ran it and it feels like your turning the whole time and it's only 1/6 of a mile. It's hard to see the scale of the dtr2 tracks from in game picture sbut it looks right to me based on the pics. Wakeeney would be really bad and doesn't have nearly enough objects. It's pretty much a track, walls, and some mounds in the corners.

no i wouldnt use that track but if i need to shrink more i will or start it over. Im not in a hurry . i want it right tho

Remember Macon is only a 1/5 mile track 2 short straights and high banked turns..Real Late Model laps times range from mid 10's to 11's..Spint cars get around high 8's to 9's..I remember I could count to three abnd then have to throw the car into the turn..Wakeeney was just a option as it was small...I remember Warrior made a macon and think he used Silver Dollar...Bloomington from DTR2 would be good also as a base...Just keep on going bud and finish what you started and we'll see...Also go to you tube and search for macon Speedway and check out some of the videos..Believe there area few incar ones that might give ya a feel for it..You're right just take your time and get it close as possible to the real thing and we'll all love it ...Thanks Shock for your input as well..
