icefighter wrote: On Rain's behalf I was in there when he was trying to reason with RB about getting in the feature. He really wasnt lobbying to hard and before any replays was sent he had resigned himself to the fact that he wasnt going to make the feature.

I will say that thats how the rule was stated at WFO last season was that if a driver needed to be docked spots the next driver would move up a spot.

All and all it was a good show and thanks for the show RB

There is NO reasoning according to their rules, but I guess they don't follow them anymore huh. I even posted the rules in their own forum and they don't even care when if Farmer was there I'm sure he would have followed the rules. And then Farmer asks me if Rain shouldn't have made the A Main this week then should Wheel have got in last week? HELL NO. Neither of them should have. I don't care if it's a teammate or not, their rules don't give any room for a random guy to make the feature who didn't actually get the transfer spot. The rules don't allow for any bribery.

Im with ya it was clearly in black and white but im willing to bet that RB didnt know that rule at the time (although I can guanrntee he does now). According to the rules posted the wrong call was made but Ive done the same thing before but luckily it was a situation that I could go back and fix it according to the rules. Once Rain ran the race there was no fixing it. Thinking it woulda been a great chance to use right call! :D
So we finish 18 and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, 'Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know.' And he says, 'Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness.' So I got that goin' for me, which is nice

Well I know he didn't know the rules because Farmer made it very clear in them what happens. But then RB tells me how it's his show and if I don't like it don't run, well OK. All I was doing was pointing out their own rules on the Gen 5 page to him and asking how under any circumstances someone other than the person who got the transfer could make the feature. Now he's working on totally new rules that I guess will be applied in retrospect or something. Definitely not the Right Call©

Well, sounds like it's Chrissy's turn to put a few ppl in their place and tell how it should be. J/K ... i wonder how many eyes rolled when they read that!

I love what Stephen said. I think a bunch of ya'll have really changed your ways of handling situations that don't go your way. Stephen and Ice prolly deal the best. No yelling/cursing; just apologies when needed and giving the benefit of the doubt to the ones in the wrong. Now someone convince Rusty of that ... :P

As a side note, I have the best idea ever. There should be some kind of DTR2 meet-up at a place like Nascar Speedpark. That way, ya'll can race each other for real, spin each other out whenever you want and maybe we'd get to see some really good fights afterwards! AND then I'd get to race ... hehe. Beware though, Ryan (my 12 yr. old) spun me out the first lap and got it back 10 times worse the next race. AND don't let Rusty fool you about him racing. He spun out a lil kid b/c he was blocking Rusty. AND Rusty got me purty good a couple times too. As he likes to say ... "Payback's hell" ... watch out huney, I still haven't gotten my payback!

I really didnt have a dog in the fight. Im sure if i had been in Stephen's or Ax's position I would have been livid and if Dirty was as bad as Im hearing (I havent seen it so I dont know) I would be just as hot. Anyone got some replays to post?

Oh boy. Cant we just get along, use our heads, and remember its just a game. Your not going to get laid or gain more money or fame cause of your points position. Maybe if some people didnt worry about their points position so much they actually might get laid. Like Farm said, RB was running the show and did what he seen was fit, may not be what the rules read from many years ago. There will be rules updates coming shortly for consistency, as for now deal with it, and remember its not like its going to help ya get laid.

OK I have 2 things to say:

1. It kills me like no other to agree with Shock on anything but I do agree with that its probably best to go by the rules that are in place on the site that everyone is using.

2. I think the reason people are questioning how it was handled is we all like to run the huge show. IFRT is bringing in great car counts and thats what I for one, love to run in and therefore we would like to keep the car counts up so I think questions should be asked in order to make it a show that people will come and support.
So we finish 18 and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, 'Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know.' Changing the rules 1/3 way through the season isn't consistency, but oh well.

Most people dont read the rules, the rules on the IFRT site are farms rules set in place years ago. RB made a judgement call prolly not even knowing what the rules were on the site. He made the call prolly in correspondence with how things go through out dtr2. RB was running the show so its his call like it or not. I didnt want rain in the a either nor did i want wheel in it last week, but not my call. I understand your point Shock, mistakes happen, we move on. Did you make a mistake trying to take wheel out? Move on.

See Ice and you didnt have to win the race or be points leader to do it. DTR2 had nothing to do with you getting lucky, and from what Ive heard of your racing being limited by your wife, DTR2 may actually make you unlucky.

Actually I think ICE's definition of getting lucky is when his wife lets him race DTR2

I only read the rules after the feature to see where it said that if the winner wrecks someone the win goes to second place...didn't find anything even close to that so I brought it up in their forum and RB basically said to STFU when I just wanting him to clarify why he thought second place should get the win. If those aren't the rules they shouldn't have put them up there. I think if Farmer was there the last two weeks it would have been different and he would put on a good show for everyone
