Batesville, Arkansas (August 21st 2013) Batesville Speedway had the track nice and racey by the time Qualifying came around for the Young Guns Racing series.

It was the first time that Batesville Speedway had hosted a YGR event. The event proved to be the best race in all of DTR2 this year so far.

When it was time for Qualifying to roll out, Eric came onto the track first and laid down a pretty respectable lap time of 13.87. Second on Qualify was the 0 car of Dane. He proved to be very fast with a time of 13.66. The last car to come trackside was the 19 car driven by Sticks.

After Qualifying Dane was asked about his run. Dane said, "Yeah I felt like I had a really good car and engine under the hood so all I had to do was just drive it in smooth and step on the gas. I just want to thank all of my sponsors for this great ride I have and it is an honor to set fast time at YGR."

When the feature rolled onto the track, Dane found himself being on the pole along side of Eric and Sticks on his back bumper. Eric jumped to the lead by turn 2 and led the first few circuits around the 3/8 mile egg shaped oval. Eric began to pull away from the pack and by lap ten, he was 1.5 seconds ahead. But out of nowhere Dane came up to challenge for the lead on lap 14. Over the next 6 laps the two drivers put on an array of perfect moves and slide jobs. The final result was a dead tie! The server said it was a tie and we went to look at the replay and it looked like a dead even tie and the line! So both Eric and Dane celebrated the win. Sticks rounded out the field in third place.

The second of the twin features rolled onto the track the same way as the first race did. Dane quickly found himself out in front of Eric and Sticks. Dane continued to lead while Eric and Sticks were all battling for that top spot. Eventually all prevailed and Dane got the win in the 20 lap A main.

Dane, "I had a really great car all night long, I want to thank all the fans for coming out on this Wednesday night for some HOT racing action."

Eric, "I had a pretty awesome car myself I cannot thank the YGR people who put on this fantastic series. I know not many people support it but by hell, this deal is the best!'

Sticks, "I am pleased with my performance today, obviously it was not as good as last week at Kokomo, where I won both features, but I will take two third places this week and will go back to the shop and set up the car for next week."

Next week the series heads to Attica Raceway Park in Attica Ohio. Attica will play host to some of the best young guns in the business. It is the season finale and Eric has locked up the championship no matter what.
