This week we rolled into Western Springs. 10 Haulers showed up. Some of the big names who rolled in were WFO Rain , BLS 42 and IFRT BNUTZ! Qualifying was for the most part pretty close. Except for 1 driver. WFO Blaze took the pole with a lap time of 13.84. WFO Zombie would qualify 2nd with a time of 13.89. Those would be your 2 pole sitters for the heats
Heat races were exciting. WFO Blaze and BLS BW42 would start on the front row of heat 1. Row 2 would be IFRT Tony and BLS Jsn. With TXR 17D bringing up the rear.
The green flag was in the air and we were racing. Blaze would dive into turn 1 and slide up in front of BW42. While Jsn, 17D, and Tony were all fighting for 3rd. WFO Blaze would lead all 12 Laps and take the checkered flag.
With BLS BW42 coming in a close 2nd. TXR 17D was 3rd. BLS Jsn 4th and IFRT Tony 5th. Heat 2 would be just as exciting with WFO Zombie and IFRT BNUTZ! on the front row. With WFO Rain and IFRT 14 in the 2nd row. With XCR Bullet rounding up the field. The Green Flag would drop and Zombie would jump out front.
It would be a 3 way race for the lead position. Between WFO Zombie WFO Rain and IFRT BNUTZ!. But WFO Zombie would never relinquish the lead.
It would be a great race as Zombie picks up the heat win. Rain coming in close behind. RB 3rd. Bullet 4th. and IFRT 14 5th.
The A-Main would start with 3 WFO in the top 4 slots. WFO Blaze starting on the pole. And to his outside WFO Zombie. In the 2nd Row it would be BLS BW42 and WFO Rain. And they would get to racing as the green flag dropped.
WFO Blaze would slide up coming off of turn 4 on first lap and would clear Zombie. The race was on from there. Zombie and Rain would get to racing and Blaze would check out. Zombie and Rain would battle it out for the next 15 laps.
The last 15 Laps of the race. WFO Zombie would then clear Rain and start his way towards Blaze. As that was going on BLS BW42 would start to work on Rain.
But time would run out. With Blaze taking his 1st win of the season. And his 1st as WFO. Zombie coming in 2nd. WFO Rain 3rd, BLS BW42 4th, and IFRT BNUTZ! 5th.
