NAFFE BREAKS THROUGH AT MACON; Gets 10 years 6 months ago #58454

MACON, IL (May 23, 2014) - The St Louis U Pic A Part 100 certainly didn't disappoint the crowd at Macon Speedway tonight as Blankenship, Lanigan and Naffe put on a show for the crowd. John Blankenship led the first 24 laps before Naffe was able to use lapped cars as a pic to get under Blankenship for the lead. Naffe pulled away mid way through the event and looked to be in control of the race. On lap 90 Lanigan was closing in on Naffe taking what was a 5 second lead down to half a second. With two laps to go Lanigan pulled up right underneath Naffe for the lead but was unable to make it stick. Lanigan tried it again in turns three and four on the final lap but couldn't make it stick, as Naffe was able to hold on for the win. The rest of the top five was John Blankenship third, Steve Francis fourth, and Josh Richards fifth.

A Nightmare at Eagle 10 years 6 months ago #58532

Owens jumped out to an early lead, but was challenged by Richards who took the lead. Richards and Owens broke away from the field. Richards would later get held up by lapped traffic which allowed Owens to retake the lead. Owens then hit lapped traffic himself, which allowed Richards to close, but could not take the lead. Owens pulled away from Richards again, but soon hit traffic which allowed Richards to close again and retake the lead. It didn't take long before Owens back around Richards for the lead. Richards fought back as they fought they're way through lapped traffic for the lead and the win. Owens and Richards were exchanging sliders for the lead and at the end Owens beat Richards to the line by a car length for the win.
