While some tracks are good with lap times, some are way off, like Brownstown to name one, there are 11 second laps being ran, when the track record is a 13.546 set by Steve Francis (4/1/2006) at the Indiana Icebreaker, there are some others off to when I looked at the comparison video of Cherokee that compared rfactor to dtr2, game was 12 seconds while they were running around 14 second laps.

ya cherokee record was dennis "rambo" franklin..was there when he set it and was 14.58 somethin then again there when i think dan schliepper broke it. not real sure abt this, but ya it's abt 1.5 sec faster..kinda kool tho so for when i get to race there someday i'll be well prepared running it so much faster

The track sizes are right, the cars are just faster than they should be.

Also Bulls Gap is 4/10s of a mile and the late model track record is 12.001-seconds (120.004 mph).

So the late models on the game are actually around that time. Most times I've been there laps are in the 12 second area. It's a fast track

Isn't the idea to make your racecar as fast as possible??? IMO No car is "Too Fast" for anything. IMO No track is "TooSLow". I mean REALLY???? This is a question????? The goal is to race as fast as you can, and be "faster" than anyone else on the track, hell I would run a jet on a 1/4 mile dirt track if they'd let me, or run a lawnmower on a 1/2 mile track, if they'd let me. So in all reality, there is NO TRACK OR CAR that is too fast or too slow. They run 950 HP on 1/4 mile dirt tracks and on the same night run a 600cc on that very track so u be the judge!!!!

I don't think running a lawnmower on a 1/2 mile would give you any kind of advantage at all......The jet on a 1/4 mile might not get very good acceleration and then that whole turning thing would put a damper on that.....But good luck trying those.

dtr2 cars drive too good but if we made them drive worse and more real, the racing would suck.Good luck hittin them lap times when u do get to run at Cherokee though McGee!

 Thanks Joe, but more thanks for the awesome job you did on making it for us to run on here. Haven't told you this but we've been all around the track in a truck like before the race just riding and looking at the cars and haulers and stuff before going down across turn 2 to the infield to get "our spot" usually in turn 1. Was in the game and instead of running laps I decided to just ride around like we did before and dude you would not believe how similar and "real" everything seemed to be. Again, thanks, bro. Your hard work on this and other stuff you've done is greatly appreciated. The fact that we're turning faster laps there really doesn't matter to me, but the way it looks and how "real" it seems does.
