Hey guys Shock and myself have looked in the past for a programmer that can make us a new editor for DTR2 and we found a few people that can make this project happen.This project would allow us to make all new 3d models for DTR2 and we could make the game look just as good if not better than R__Factor.Here lies the problem.The guys that would make this happen charge around $2500 and it would take an estimated 20 days to make.I know money is tight these days but is it too far of a reach to even try and make this happen?This would be a community program anyone can use and IMO would greatly increase quality and more than likely bring alot of old and new drivers onto this fine old game all love.How many people would be willing to throw in some money to make this happen?

I'd be willing to help a big big lot.

If ever driver that raced donated 30-50 it wouldnt be too much of a reach.

Espicially if all teams put a donation box up and used donations for that.

I know its alot of money and we could get someone to be a treasurer or whatever so everyone would know this is a legit deal.
Faschek is right,if everyone put $30-$50 in it wouldnt take long at all.

Would this still be able to work on my computer? As of right now R factor does not work on my computer? If so That I would donate!

possible, wouldn't happen over night, but the ones of us who is really committed to the game could make it happen, slowly but surely.

It would def work on your computer. And if we didn't raise enough donations I'd send it back to everyone that donated.

yes it would just be making new models.It would not be changing the game itself just the tracks and chassis more updated.Believe it or not DTR2 can look as good as R__F with very little work if we had the resources.

I know many of you don't know me other then probably Shock as I basically just race offline in my spare time but i'd be willing to donate some money to this project.

Just curious Joe,would this new editor also include a sound mod upgrade along with the graphics upgrade?

Sorry this would not be the sound but we can work with the sound after we get it looking better.

Im going to go ahead and talk to the guy and see exactly what hes gonna charge and all the other stuff before we start taking donations.

Man you guys are great with all these things y'all are doing to keep this game interesting. I'm sure I can spare $75 - $100 whenever you guys start taking donations! See you all at VLR sunday, just realized I missed the first race, wasn't paying attention to the dates!
