heres a head scratcher for the track makers

That apears to be Mothar Mountain Speedway located in Gympie, Queensland, Australia. about 2 hours north of the state capital

It is an "interesting" race track that runs most classes except Sprintcars, Midgets and Wingless sprints. Club run by mostly volunteers. runs about 8-10 shows per season www.gympiespeedway.com.au/

A lot of racing in the area

Blackwater speedway is about 1 hour west
Kingaroy speedway about 1 hour north west
Maryborough speedway 1 hour north ( best RACE track in the state)
Charlton raceway about 3 hours south west
Rockhampton 3 hours north
Macs speedway Mackay 6 hours north
And the main track in the state Is Brisbane International Speedway which is 2 hours south which is home to the $20,000 to win 50 lapper for sprintcars and the official Australian home race track of Donny Schatz

It can't be any other track but Mountain Mothar Speedway in Gympie QLDs... However..; there is one other that I know of... Never been there of course but I had some pics of... Can't quote the State it's in as it's all on the other hardrive, damn it...!!! Maybe I got it on a disc...??? The track I'm thinking of, is somewhere in America (Can you believe it?) which does have a right turn kink in the last straight before the start finish line.... Mountain Speedway it's called... I actually had a track especially for Gympie with the whole kidney shape thing happenin' with a climb to top of hill. The A1 actually worked, but the man for that now; is Ray who could easily do the A1 fpr a track shape as this, properly. (Poor NESFAN and that darn Flemington track) I think it's a challenging track for racing on, and should be considered. I lost my version, sadly. Never did complete the whole hill climb thing (referring to track edge not raised track bed which I had completed to) Could eventually see it back if I could pull the Data from the hardrive it's on. Till then.....?
Let's have one of these tracks aye fella's. What a hoot it would be. Talk about challenging, sepecially flying down the hill at great speed then actually forced to find a brake to use to make the bottom turn... But... Only when you can, of course. If I do find my original DTR2 disc then I will give it another crack myself but this time round it will be in Rhino; not DE2 Editing.

Sorry I haven't posted of late.. I do keep up a daily vigil with the forums, beieve it or not... I skip all the crappy posts... Something interesting to write back about, is good... It comes from being educated and knowing how to answer any reasonably asked question...; aye fella's...

P.S. Can't wait to see all of these other new tracks you'al have been building. Cheers for all your hard work. I should know how hard track making truly is.

Look at these Aussie's and NZ'ers owning this thread. That would be an awesome track to make!

That track would only be for the big guns that know how to stear around bends can negotiate a right turn on dirt.

Somebody must know of the track that I was referring to in earlier posting regarding Mountain Speedway. When I find it; I will post pics for ya's. There is one that did or does exist in the US of A and that too looks wicked but bigger than Gympie's Mothar. Wished I had taken the time to finish Mothar Mnt Speedway before the crap hit the fan. Sorry about that....It probably would looked less than wicked.

P.S. Dont' call it SFR Speedway; please..!!! Are you thinkin of changin leagues, Kev?

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I am possibly going to start getting back into DTR2. I had kind of gotten away from DTR and got into NR2003 with its 358 Modifieds. They have Flemington!!!!!! Anyway, has there been any news on the Flemington A1 in the past year or two, or even a whole new track? Thanks,

I bet BLS_Ray can make the AI for it now, he might even like the challenge. That is the square track, right? Hopefully he'll see this and consider it. He is awesome at making AI

I will see what i can do. I looked at it and think i can update it some. I cant make any promises on the AI because i may have to do it from scratch which will take a long time. I am currently working on Stateline Speedway in Busti NY. Its a track that Shock started and i hope to finish in the near future.

NESFAN is that your New Egypt that was recently posted? Just curious because I'd kinda like to mess with it some and see if we can get it even better. That is if its ok with you.

It says Bullet uploaded I think. But I remember back on fuo motorsports NESFAN asking for an updated New Egypt track so I think you should go for it. It looks a lot different these days I Think.

I , live in Gympie (don't believe me? I'll take a video of this track) and I love this track. I do travel around the south east watching races, but there all... similar... where this has a HUGE kink... There can be some decent wrecks going past the kink and into the last turn, but surprisingly not thaaaat many cars even hit the wall
