Well guys, I heard from BigAnt CEO last night and this is what he told me, and I sent him the ultimate dirt racing game checklist so I will be trying to work with him, as well as giving him the communities input on a new dirt racing game!

Hi Howard,

I’ll certainly check out what we have and what we can do, if we can do something we would certainly do it for free.

We have tried to get things going with WoO but so far really haven’t got far post THQ’s demise.

We are currently developing a Dirt Track game for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox360, Xbox One and would love to interact with the community to make sure the game is all that it needs to be.

Tell them to make a forum post here with some screen shots and tell them to interact with us and other dirt racing forums and it would ensure they make a successful game that people want to buy.

If they take advise from us and rfactor and nr2k3 and whatever other dirt racing community there is out there maybe it would also unite the community like it used to be back the the early dtr days when it was one of the only dirt games there was to play and have huge crowds each night to race.

good point flyer, i would also like to see them interact with actual chassis men to now what real adjustments are used on a race car. ie fore bars, jbar, shocks, springs,

IMO I like the handling of DTR2 and WoO 2002 or have an option of either arcade or more realistic.

IMO the game shouldnt have to be set up like a real car. The setup should be as simple as DTR2 so people dont spend 2 weeks making a setup for a 30 minute show.

I can agree to that, but i think some people like it.

all great comments, specialley the one bout ,HAVE A FORUM, on all dirt games sites, really can"t go wrong that way, THIS SOUNDS AWESOME, hope it comes to be...........................

A great racing game isnt about setting up cars, its about the on track racing. If people want to worry about setting a car up then they should make a crew chief game.

I think the setup options shoul be just like DTR2

as long as it is at least as good as DTR2, with better graphics and more spots in a race, they can't go wrong. Maybe flyer and shock and BMS and a few others should all write him and let them know what they do for DTR2 currently. Who knows, they might hire yall . 1. I think it could have more realistic setup options as well as dtr2 setup options. If they could implement that in the game modes (Arcade: DTR2 Style Driving and Setup Options and Simulation: More realistic driving style and setup options and Custom: You select which specific options and settings are enabled and disabled) and online and offline the server host can set what game mode they will be playing in.

I think it is in the very early stages, so I was able to get ahold of him at a good time, and he is interested in hearing player feedback, so that's good. They just made a cricket game (Popular sport in Australia and eastern hemisphere) and it has great reviews. I know their previous dirt racing games have been kind of sketchy, and ultimately didn't go very far because of lack of creating new mod ability, but if they listen and read the checklist that was created, they can't go wrong. The checklist is just the ultimate dream, and they are a fairly small company compared to the big game developers, so I suggested to him to start a kickstarter campaign where we can donate to help fund this and cover some of the costs so I await his response. Either way, a new dirt racing game is good news regardless. Definitely must have late models, though

I believe this is the most active community website for dirt track racing (gaming), so it wouldn't get too much excitement on the others, probably. However, Facebook is a different story and I will definitely let them know as I talk to him more and figure out what he wants or needs. Whatever we can do to help market the game helps sales which helps the chances of having a better game and sequels. So I will get with the rFactor guys and what not on Facebook using their various pages since it seems to be more Facebook oriented for them than websites, and see what we can do when the time comes.

Local track facebook pages would get alot of hype also. Hell every track facebook page! The LOLMS and WoO pages have roughly 150,000 followers each and the local tracks i keep up with have 10,000 to 20,000 followers. This is the age of social media and if we can show these Big Ant guys how serious the american dirt track fans are that maybe we will have a better chance of getting what we need and want in a great dirt racing game. Would be nice to have the twitter of the guy shock talked to and we could tag him in on some of our ideas and other people could weigh in.

It should have realistic driving styles. DTR2 doesn't have that unfortunately

You guys probably know of "Indiegogo". A guy I used to work for got his idea financed in less than 2 months. $375,000. A girlfriend of mine got her album financed, $250,000, in less than 2 months. 1000 $10.00 donations is quite a bit. I've seen that raised in a day. Definitely let them know about it. They may not know.
