With the big death count in Mississippi and Alabama, I am really worried about JW, i'm not sure where in Miss he lives but hopefully if he sees this or anyone that has heard from him sees this, they will let us know that "The Missle" is OK!!! And for those of you in anguish and have lost loved ones and their homes, our prayers are with you also!!!!

I live in Biloxi, MS and we haven't gotten any bad weather, I don't really think any part of Mississippi got part of those bad storms so I'm sure he is OK. Nice to see people concerned for a fellow racer.

Somewhere in Mississippi got hit hard. The death toll is up to 270:


Alabama officials confirmed 180 deaths, while there were 33 in Mississippi, 33 in Tennessee, 14 in Georgia, eight in Virginia and one in Kentucky.

Insane. I hope JW is ok as well and I'm sure he will let us know as soon as he can

Yes Im ok and thanks everyone for checking on me. It missed west point by about 30 miles so I was really lucky.

Thats good to hear JW. Is there anybody else in our 'family' that we don't really know about? I don't know everybody much less where they live so I'm concerned for everybody with all the bad weather going around.

Kamikaze lives very near JW in Starkville, so hopefully he's OK as well. I don't know of any dtr2ers in Alabama, though. Superman lives in Knoxville, Tn, about 60 miles east of me and they got bad hail last night.

Also, VLR_BG lives in Kennesaw, Ga north of Atlanta and they got it rough there, too, with Ringgold, Georgia (just outside of Chattanooga, tn) having a big tornado, too. There are more racers I'm sure in the area so hopefully they will let us know something when they are able.

Ok. Heres hoping that they're all ok and safe. The sooner we find out the better.

I raced against him either yesterday or the day before so I would believe hes ok unless A- something more recent happened or B- it wasn't him and was somebody else with a similar name.......damn my short term memory.....

I am good, thanks for checking. Tornado touched down only 2 miles south of my house. I was coaching a Jr. high football game at East Webster High School Tuesday night and left there at around 9 pm. 5-6 hrs later entire school was destroyed.

Oh wow man, that's close. I'm glad to hear you're OK. You are lucky because they said it was an F5 that hit one part of Mississippi.

I found out 2 nights ago that my cousin and two of my aunts were in a tornado in Dayton, Tn, north of Chattanooga. My mom sent me a picture of my cousins trailer and it was destroyed (I'll post it in a sec). She said it threw my cousin and her boyfriend and baby out into a field but they all lived but had to go to the hospital.

Then my two aunts were in a house and it got ripped apart, too, and they got dinged up pretty bad. It's weird how close some of these things hit to you and affects people you know.

I didn't even know there was a tornado in their county until they said that and then on yahoo it said 4 people died in their county so they were lucky!
