Offline guys, I'm trying to make a series and I can't make it work. Everything I've created ends with registry restore error reading file 'data\series\(series folder name here)\series.str.

I've tried using the various templates on the sites with multiple chassis and tracks. Every track and chassis works in a quick race if I take my series folder out.

What am I doing wrong to get that error? I've attached 1 of the files.

ok if you look at driver 1 theres your error its suppose to say name = driver name,and under each driver suppose to have 2 lines,name of driver and car which is the name of the skin,no number line,after i copied your series file i fixed to load but didnt show up,im still workin on that,when i fix it ill let ya know

Yes, you can actually put numbers on the opponent cars in a series. Just no letters. I tried it with my series and it still works.

ok stoa i got it to work and show up,and falco since you confirmed num work in the series i guess he can add that to it,stoa im uploadin the str file i have workin for your series but youll have to add the tracks you want,happy racing

VIPER, You rock man! It works now. What all did you change? I spent hours trying to find errors but never found them.

well driver 1 didnt have the car = driver and the skins were not spelled exactly likr the folder were,and the names were formated rong

I figured out something else I've been doing wrong with the series. I tried using yours as a base to create a new one. I simply saved it as in a new folder and then changed some tracks but kept the same drivers. I was getting the error again. So I went back one by one with the tracks to see if that was the problem. Eventually I saved as the exact series file that you made and put it into a new series folder. The error was still coming up. I noticed that when I saved as it was saving the file with the name series.str in a txt file. I then copied the file you made and put it in the folder and it worked. I didn't realize that notepad was saving files as a .txt which I think was part of my problem when I was trying multiple different chassis etc.

yea note pad will save it as .txt as the default format,ya have to save it as a .str file or dtr will give errors or not read it correctly,dtr is very picky lol
