to be brief...what are they? I know some consider them cheating.

I believe H/S is constantly going back and forth from 1st to 2nd gear and makes you much faster. Notepadding going into your sets folder outside of the game and tweaking with your setup (wont make you much if any faster)

Hyper shifting, this is where you shift from a gear to neutral back and forth to better your times, usually a person on a controller does this but is not always the case.
5. Neutral dropping, dropping into neutral coming out of the corners to get your revs up then hit a gear to boost your car forward. sometimes hard to detect but can be detected with the sound bite counter.

Note pading setups, In some leagues it will not be allowed and be considered a cheat, since its impossible to detect and police some leagues allow note padding you should ask the promoter if note padding is allowed in their league races.

I really don't consider word padding as cheating because if you look at a lot of other peoples sets there's always a couple that have like 82 1st gear, 76 2nd, etc.

I actually have a setup with negative stagger in it. I've only used that set on default cars in browser at Rodeo. I either got it from Woods or Rowdy when I was first starting out in browser. And I've never noticed any sort of advantage there since the only way I can pull away is if they start wrecking or race each other really hard. I don't think negative stagger in here really helps anything at all.

I think you have my Rodeo set J-mac, well its actually Bucks Key Set for Rodeo and all I did was changed the gear and steering lock for my controller. It's a damn good Rodeo set though, the only i've used since day 1 of playing this game online

I knew it was either yours or Rowdys. Well its notepadded and its not making me any better than when I take and change it to make the lr smaller than the rr so I'm just pretty much proof that notepadding isn't really cheating since if it was I'd be winning a HELL OF ALOT more than I do. lol

Haha true, I never thought notepadding was cheating. Just like in a real car you can change your gear ratio up and so it should be allowed on the game, which from what I read, majority of the community considers it NOT cheating so thats good. I'm on the fence with the hypershifting thing. I've never actually seen it done and don't know how to do it but from what I read it does help out a good bit on speed.
