Jason..I understand what your're saying in the post you had put..But event though he DID admit to cheating before..Does not mean we have to keep judging someone who fessed up to doing it..Which was what WE ALL wanted correct?..Thats all we wanted him to do was to fess up to doing it that one time...And now that he did it..there still has to be a label on that person...If ppl on this game can not have an open mind and give someone the benifet of the doubt..then whats the point in them ppl playing the game..the game is getting to where its not worth even playing no more once ppl start taking it as a game THAT MUST BE TREATED LIKE REAL LIFE...when its not!..and just like i told Deadbolt on yahoo just a few minutes ago...If yall want to call Bryan a cheat simply cuz he took a track and tried to make it better..WHICH IN MY OPINION..HE DID cuz i got to try it out...then everybody else might as well call ME..FLYER...and ANYBODY ELSE who edits or MAKES totally new tracks or cars cheats to...I mean how else are ppl supposed to be able to make something for the game and test it out without being called cheaters?..thats my question..and i would love for someone to take the time and actually answer it..Im working my ass off on these trucks thats already been made..but im changing everything on it..and im still going in the browser and running them...so does that make me a cheater cuz i changed something up?..i mean bryan did the same thing to make a track better..and ppl want to blow it out the water like ppl on here ALWAYS SEEM TO WANT TO DO!..So i guess if whoever is gonna call bryan a cheater and say that "oh he's still cheating cuz he came in on a different version of a track and hit this fast lap time"...then call me a cheater as well for wantin to take a chassis that was already made to try and make it better..I WILL PROUDLY RUN AROUND WITH THAT LABEL if it proves to everybody that its not about cheating..its about taking something....and tryen to make it better...and it just seems like the simple minded F**K Heads dont wanna understand that..So that wont stop me from racing with bryan..wont stop me from tellin him not to come in our teamspeak..I wont judge someone just cuz the did something on a computer game of all things and then had the balls to do what we all wanted him to do..which was to fess up to what he did..He's done it once..and now that HE learned from what he did..he's tried to take what he knows and has tried to help US if you think about it..he's tried to take what he knows and has tried to better tracks thats already out..and has tried to better chassis...and we gotta sit here and bash him for it..makes no damn sense that "grown" men that play a damn computer game cannot see that and a 25 year old in myself can...Makes me sick to even wanna play the game and makes me embarrassed to even wanna tell ppl that i play with ppl on a computer game of all things..Now that is not directed to ALL on dtr2....Its only directed to the ones that read this..then has something negative that still wants to say someone cheats over tryen to BETTER THE GAME..now if ur that person..then yea..ITS DIRECTED TO YOU!......Nuff Said.

personally in my discussions with Brian, I think hes a good fellow.
but we all haven't forgot 6 mo. after he admited to track editing he went to USRA and taught a course it that subject.
and he gave them tracks to unsupecting people by accident. he also posted them edits on a website for other to see. Thank god Shock took the post down. Also if he was truly regretfull he wouldn't have mentioned yesterday in his post he would show every one how to cheat.

Rowdy i'm posting this so you understand how the entire DTR2 community feels about Brian, I am not trying to ruffel your feathers. I have monitored some very interesting things Brian has done during the last year, but I don't think cheating was what he was doing last week. It will take more than a few months for Brian to gain the respect of this community, but I think its possible in time. Jason wasn't being disrespectful he was just stating his concern for you and your team as he seen what it did to USRA. I hope you don't get bent out of shape on this post I would like this to be positive effort to help brian.

im going to try and keep this short
editing and testing (in my eyes) is not cheating , its the process of development that happens behind closed doors , which is fine , and it is fine to do such testing in private servers and/or public servers if need be
the part where and when it becomes cheating is when one or few people have something that the masses do not , and it will not set off the check sum mismatch , which is what in my understanding a said person had done in the past
i believe what is happening here is that since some people monitor thier servers for such mismatches , and there are some people from past events - when you put these together it is more likely to raise a red flag and cause awareness than say for example if - I myself and F1yer were to go into a server and create the same mismatches

is it unfortunate? yes , its not fair to those who are trying to develope things for the community , but thats what happened
how can we keep it from becoming such a problem again? well , honestly , now we know collectively as a group , there are more people editing things and testing potential tracks/chassis for mass release

so ... i think we should all take a step back and remember , we all know what happened in the past , if someone is trying to change and better thier standing and name in our community , we should give them the benefit of the doubt

i want to add - i think because someone did something once before , its a fear that it can and will happen again , not saying that it will , but its just what we are all trying to prtect against

Yeah your right Karl..It nobody should just get respect back after just a couple months after admitting he did cheat..But ppl need to learn to open their mind and start talking to him in the vents if he's in there..or hell come in our Teamspeak..he's usually in there shootin the Sh*t with me,tj,pit,woods,lazy and some others all the time..yea ok..if ya wanna judge him..thats fine..but ppl wanna sit here and said suck it up and deal with it and u'll get ur respect back..well how is he supposed to get respect back when they never make an effort to ever talk to him on vents or teamspeaks...yall want nothing to do with him unless yall see him with a car or a track thats not to yalls liking...what im sayen is...If yall wanna judge him..then have the nerve to tell him to earn the respect...then how about some of yall start comin in and talkin to him..get to know him more to where he actually has the CHANCE to get earn the respect back...dont just sit there and and starting bringing something up that yall dont approve up to where none of yall never talk...But yea..if i was a cheater..i would blow a fuse to and say a comment like he did by sayen what he said with the whole "yea i'll show ppl how to cheat" or whatever it is he said..well i mean..what did yall expect from him when ppl got on here bashing him over something that he was not even cheating with?..he had a track that he was tryen to make better..and here goes the word CHEATER again...i mean did yall really expect him to sit back like a lil puppy with his tail between his legs and LET YALL bash him for somethin he really didnt do?...I believe NONE of his comments was in the wrong in my personal opinion cuz yall bashed him..then he let yall know how he felt..yall cant sit there and expect someone to not take up for themselves when ppl get on here and bash someone in public..we're only human..NONE of us should be better than the next guy or girl.....Now with that said..I got a REAL EASY solution to the cheating problem...IF..now this is IF yall think it will be a problem in the FUTURE of maybe someone pulling this stunt again with that bryan did awhile back..then the solution is real simple...Shock or Deadbolt...or WHOEVER that has power to do so....TAKE ALL THE EDITING CRAP OFF THE SITE!!..its that easy..then nobody will have to worry about someone maybe cheatin in the future for whatever reason...thats the only way and honestly the only reasonable solution I can think of to fix the whole problem......So with all that..all i gonna say is this...If yall wanna bash someone for somethin they did awhile back and then they fessed up to which is what yall wanted him to do....Then how about yall put in the effort to come talk and chill and shoot the Sh*t with him so him and yall can WORK on him gettin the RESPECT that yall say he needs to EARN...Respect will NEVER get earned back if yall are just gonna say "hey...u gotta earn it...but we wont never be around or put the effort in for u to gain it back"...now..with that said..dont yall think that would make since to do...to make an effort for him to work the respect?..but yall gotta BE THERE for him to do so...dont just be sittin back in the dark not even talkin to him or nothing..but only with it has to do with him "cheating".

i agree , without the chance for someone to earn respect , its impossible for them to do so
on the other end of goin into TXR teamspeak to hang out , i would suggest trying to run some other leagues races as well , ya it might be a tough sell at first , but i think thats one way to open the door so to speak

while pulling the programs and editing tools off the site would greatly reduce the chance of someone cheating in the future , i could see it having a negative effect too , in the potential way that - if we removed editing tools , that may discourage new editors from taking up the hobby and creative process

i think to discourage such mistakes form happening in the future , should we all make it public knowledge when someone is developing a new track/chassis? like a forum topic of potential up-coming projects?

i know F1yer has a few tracks that are incomplete , i know shock has few that are incomplete , i know Jammin is currently workin on at least 1 , with the current knowledge - Rowdy is workin on a new chassis or 2 , Woodall is now workin on "re-gripping" tracks - which is what F1yer did to alot of tracks that are re-named 2k11 or 2k10 that were older tracks - im not 100% but i think some of the ERL guys are learning how to edit tracks and may be on the way to making them - theres always hoover makin tracks , not sure what he has in the workshop now , and im sorry if i got the name wrong but i think its demise? who does some editing , and someone else??

to get away form the cheating thing , i think it can and will happen now , that we as a collective group know , there is editing goin on that is for the betterment of the game vs the betterment of few

and i agree it does get old , constantly re-hashing old events
but talkin it out is the first step to moving forward

Just to put things straight, Woodall has been accused recently by running a 13.08 or something like that at Brownstown in which we were barely hitting 13.60s in the Big Block Mods, Now that server was set up to only record DF or G3 cars, If he is editing cars for his own use, that's fine, but to do it in a server that is hosting a race at the same track with the same cars on the same night seems really fishy and that is why that got posted (I DIDN'T Post IT). This has NOTHING to do with what Woodall did 6 months ago, it's what he did DAYS ago. So I'm not trying to ruffle your feathers Boot, but he has been accused (NOT BY ME) within recent days for the afore mentioned reasons. I come to TXR races all the time Boot and have promoted your series multiple times, I have always wanted to see you do good, so if me trying to be a friend cause comments like that, then sorry I wont say another thing!!!!

hey jason the only reson i was messing with Brownstown is it was to slick for that guys simulater cars bro. and he was going down there for April 9 - 14th Annual "Indiana Icebreaker" hmmm and i think the sever said it was april 8th i was in there soo like i said mind or own dude oh yea i did put brownstown in the downloads brownstown 2k11 download it and tell me if u can hit 11.08 most likey u can hit faster

Hey you should give me a lil credit on that track! It was unfinished, too. If I knew someone was gonna use it for something cool like that I woulda tweaked on it a lot more and I was planning too actually but I guess I'll have to wait till 2012 now.

Not that I run much anymore but im gonna throw my 2 cents in there. Its almost impossible to forget someone that came into a league race with an edited track and was able to run .3 faster laps than anyone else. Then tell everyone he was sorry, then the next day put up a tutorial on how to do it after saying he wont do it again. I think the biggest reason its gonna take a very very long time is we've all heard it before a few times from him. Being labled a cheater is one of the worst things in gaming and although it is a computer game its something the community takes very seriously. Now if your making tracks/chassis thats fine. I dont know how but I know with F1 we do beta testing on tracks all the time. The difference is that we dont take these tracks and go into leagues and try to gain an advantage. The other night I really dont think it was cheating but with that stigma thats the 1st thing that people will look at. I hope this all made since.

Ya that's what I was trying to say, I like Woodall as a Person, and I like that he has the knowledge to be able to do what he does, but I wish he would start being a game editor instead of doing these rogue things, F1 is taking a break from editing, so there is a void that needs filled, and from what Woodall can do, it would be freakin awesome to run league races on those tracks, and cars. And the reason i replied to that Boot, is because I was one of those people reading that post, i just don't want people looking at you the wrong way, I wanna see your Team go far and bring in more cars, the series you make and the cars you make are awesome, the people on your team are awesome. I guess I am just too Old School!!!
