FARMER CITY, ILL (April 21, 2013)- With record rain fall in the last 5 days, Farmer City Raceway was extremely wet. The track crew worked with MLD officials thru the night to make the track race able. However, the track was holding alot of moisture which made for a very slick racing surface. Many drivers came into the day at the famed track with high hopes. Those hopes were dashed early for Rocket Kid as he blew a motor and was forced to load up before the action even began.

The heat race saw XCR_Gage49 pick up where he left off last week and take the win and 20 bonus points over VLR_McGee. The invert would put XCR_Gage49 starting at the tail of the Fast Dash. He was able to work his way thru the field in the 6 lap sprint to claim the pole for the A main.

Due to the hotshoe rule XCR_Gage49 was forced to start at the tail of the A main since he won the last 2 MLD A mains. When the green flag dropped for the 60 lap A main, JFR_97 jumped out to a quick lead and tried to distance himself from the field. JFR_97 remained the pace setter on lap 20 when XCR_Gage49 found his way thru traffic and started to challenge for the point. After slight contact a few laps earlier, JFR_97 got his right rear tire over the berm on the backstretch sending him spinning across the nose of XCR_Gage49. JFR_97 cut down a tire in the incident and his promising run would end on lap 30. With JFR_97 retired XCR_Gage49 had a comfortable lead over h0ots. As h0ots looked to reel XCR_Gage49 in and challenge for the lead, he had an electrical problem and was forced to pull into the infield.

With JFR_97 and h0ots in the pits, that left XCR_Gage49 with about a 3 second lead of VLR_McGee and he would cruise on to victory. With this win XCR_Gage49 becomes the 1st person to win 3 in a row in MLD history.
