East Moline, ILL- 17 of the best online racers in the world ventured out to the famed WFO Raceway in East Moline, ILL Wednesday. VLR_BR, the favorite to win, qualified on the pole with a quick lap of 13.31 in his three lap attempt.
MRL_Dave qualified second with an equal time of VLR_BR but it took him three attempts to get the time. VLRs newest member, VLR_JW qualified third and VLR_5150 would start fourth.
The action started quick as three heats would determine the order for the A Main. VLR_JW, who qualified third, marched to the front to win heat one. RDrunner secured the only other transfer spot of the heat by finishing second.
MRL_04 had a nice run but would have to work his way in through the B Main. Heat two featured the White County rocket MRL_Todd picking up a hard earned victory with [VLR][v56] in tow. MRL_Dave finished third.
In the last heat it was VLR_BR topping the charts after holding off XRT_Truth and VLR_5150 to start third in the A Main. Four transfer positions were up for grabs in the B Main and it was the MRL boys taking the top two spots,
Dave and TCR04. VLR_5150 followed in third and VLR_95x locked up the final transfer spot in the A Main.
A strong group of drivers saw their nights end a little short in the B Main. EVR_Lenny started in the back but got up to fifth and just missed out on the A Main. The Flying Frenchman and the only known foreigner in the race was MRL_ZK.
He battled hard but finished sixth. VLR_KS saw his night end earlier than expected too after coming home seventh, followed by VLR_Kevin. Tyree59 and KsT_Bryan had some bad luck but look for it to change next week at Great Lakes.
The A Main featured ten of the best drivers in dirt racing ready to duke it out. VLR_JW started first with MRL_Todd beside him and VLR_BR in third.
The action was everything it was billed up to be and VLR_JW seemed to be at the forefront of the excitement. He was able to hold off his teammate and buddy VLR_BR to grab his second ever VLR win, and first as a team member. Team VLR had the best showing of the night by way of sweeping 4 of the top 5 spots.
RDrunner came home a very strong third, followed by the HARD CHARGER OF THE RACE VLR_5150 in fourth. VLR_95x had a strong showing and almost got the hard charger award but just missed it.
XRT_Truth had a great showing this week to come home sixth with MRL_Todd behind him. MRL_04 also had a stellar race to come home in 8th and [VLR][v56] battled a little car trouble for ninth. MRL_Dave rounded out the top ten. Great job all!
