CENTRAL CITY, PA (June 24, 2012)- The racing action reached triple digits as the JFR team put on the show at the newly remodeled Thunder Valley Sunday night. "The car count is small but is jam packed with talent," said event promotor JFR_17. The night started off with three heats filled with some of the fastest guys on dirt banging fenders together. With only two transfer spots up for grabs the racing was all but boring.

When heat 1 rolled off the track it was the VLR teammates taken home the transfers, with VLR_Brad holding off the hard charging VLR_Shock, who came from the back row. Heat two was not short on puttin on a show either, as BLS_F1yer hung on for the win after starting pole. The last transfer spot was a hard fought battle between VLR_JJ and JFR_17 as JJ would send JFR_17 to the B-main. Heat three was no exception to the night. VLR Mcgee held on to the win with Las Vegas, Nevada driver JFR A2D right on his tail.

With the field set to take the green flag for the A Main there was not a dry seat in the house. The sold out crowd was literally pissing themselves with anticipation for the first big modified race on the newly renovated track. Several fans had to be taken to local medical centers due to passing out from the sheer excitement of the cars vibrating the grandstands.

The first ten laps of the 45 lap event was some of the closest fender to fender, paint swaping racing that the USMTS has seen in a long time. The fans were pissing themself with excitement before the race started, and now they were literally s.hitting themself at the great racing they were seeing before them. Teammates JJ and Shock set the pace for the drop of the flag but was quickly mixed up as the field of ten was tryin to make there move early in the race.

However on lap two BLS_F1yer dove into turn one and slammed the back of the 0 machine driven by Shock and sent him spinning across the track. Miraculously no other drivers made contact with Shock, but it appeared his chance of winning was already over.

Meanwhile, Indiana driver VLR_Brad quickly moved up from his sixth starting spot on the extremely racy track and out of nowhere found himself deadlocked in a side by side battle with teammate VLR_JJ for the lead. The two would run side by side for twenty laps without making contact. While this was happening, VLR_Shock had surprisingly put himself back in the mix and was running fourth just behind BLS_F1yer with only twenty laps remaining.

VLR JJ held off the field for most of the race, but "it was not an easy task" JJ said as he had the top five cars side by side the whole race. "One slip up and I was toast," he told reporters.

With the top five cars under a blanket JFR A2D quickly found himself in the back of the field battling it out with team mate JFR17 and VLR 53. A2D would finally get through the cars and fall in a comfortable 6th after starting 3rd.

BLS_F1yer and VLR_Shock found themselves battling for third at the same time JJ and Brad were entrenched in a battle for the lead. Finally VLR_Shock was able to get by the F1 car and the two paired up and ran down the leaders in just three laps. Suddenly the race became a four car battle for the win, with BLS_BW43 hot on the lead pack in fifth.

With all the fender rubbing going on BLS43 kept his nose clean and picked off one car at a time to make his way to the front from a 9th place starting spot. At the halfway point BW would find himself with the front of the field trying to find a spot to put his nose in, but had no such luck as the racing was way to tight.

The fans were roaring with approval of the epic battle that was setting up for the win.

The field crossed the line on the 45th and final bumper to bumper and two rows wide and it was way to close to call without going to the monitor to find out who won. Atfer a few looks at the replay JFR officials determend that VLR Shock would come out on top by a nose over team mates JJ and Brad. The rest of the field would cross the line in the same close fashion as BLS F1yer and BLS BW would round out the top 5.

After a small exchange of words in the pits between BLS F1yer and A2D, BLS F1yer gave up his fourth place to A2D. "I didn't mean to get into him like I did, but that don't give him the right to moon me on the back stretch after we took the checkered flag. But I'd be lying if I didn't say he had a cute butt." said the BLS driver. The rest of the field finished as followed.

Next week the JFR tour will be back in action at the East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida. The region is currently being deluged with rains from a tropical storm but track officials are confident the rains will move out and the track will be very tacky for the 45 lap event.
