I have added a replay dropbox to the MLD website in order to make the replay submission process easier for the racers and myself. I have updated the replay rules to reflect the replay dropbox method. Below is the full replay rules:

Replays
In all Major League Dirtcar sanctioned events, all competitors are required to save a full length replay for every race and segments of races that they compete in. This also applies to restarts. If there is a restart, all competitors must save their replay.

The top 3 finishers in the A main must submit their replay to the MLD race director.
The winners of all lower mains (B,C,D, ect) must submit their replay to the MLD race director.
The winners of all heat races and the fast dash must submit their replay to the MLD race director.
Any driver calling a restart in any race for any reason must submit their replay of the segment which resulted in the restart to the MLD race director.

In addition to the top finishers, additional competitors may be selected at random to submit their replay as part of MLD technical inspection. Competitors selected at random for technical inspection will be notified by the MLD race director.

All competitors that are required to submit replays must do so within ten (10) minutes of the conclusion of the A main or before leaving the MLD Ventrilo, whichever occurs first. It is the competitor’s responsibility to submit their replays.

Replays may be submitted by either of two methods:

Replay Dropbox (preferred method)
Yahoo instant messenger: _p2_

is there no freeze clause so if you get disconnected after the race you're automatically dqed?

There is not a direct no freeze clause. If replays are not available for a segment of the race due to server error (parked server) then drivers will not be penalized. If another driver freezes, all the other competitors will still be able to save their replay for that segment.

If you freeze it will be a blown motor and you will be last place. Therefore a replay won’t be required from you. If you freeze more than once in a season you will most likely be suspended until I am sure your problem is fixed.

If you get disconnected at the finish, this is a driver specific problem(usually with your router or modem) and the rule will still be enforced. It is each driver’s responsibility to ensure that their equipment is operating properly.

On the server side I can tell if you are disconnected or if you x'ed out to avoid a replay. However, it doesn’t really matter. The only time the replay rule will not be enforced is due to server error.

I have been racing since December and I have over 800 replays saved and not once have I ever not been able to save the replay (outside of server crash). I have raced in all the servers and all the leagues.

As with any rule infraction, I will review the situation and the circumstances to determine what / if any penalty is needed. The 1st time infraction for the replay rule will be probation and a couple penalty points as long as it’s not an intentional infraction.

My main purpose of the replay is to make videos and that sort of thing so the more replays I have the better footage I get. Of course it is to deter cheating and determine penalty points as well but that is not the main purpose.

Today at 4:30pm est Farmer City 2010 in XCR Vent.
60 lap A Main

With record rain fall in the last 5 days, Farmer City Raceway was extremely wet. The track crew worked with MLD officials thru the night to make the track race able. However, the track was holding alot of moisture which made for a very slick racing surface. Many drivers came into the day at the famed track with high hopes. Those hopes were dashed early for Rocket Kid as he blew a motor and was forced to load up before the action even began.

The heat race saw XCR_Gage49 pick up where he left off last week and take the win and 20 bonus points over VLR_McGee. The invert would put XCR_Gage49 starting at the tail of the Fast Dash. He was able to work his way thru the field in the 6 lap sprint to claim the pole for the A main.

Due to the hotshoe rule XCR_Gage49 was forced to start at the tail of the A main since he won the last 2 MLD A mains. When the green flag dropped for the 60 lap A main, JFR_97 jumped out to a quick lead and tried to distance himself from the field. JFR_97 remained the pace setter on lap 20 when XCR_Gage49 found his way thru traffic and started to challenge for the point. After slight contact a few laps earlier, JFR_97 got his right rear tire over the berm on the backstretch sending him spinning across the nose of XCR_Gage49. JFR_97 cut down a tire in the incident and his promising run would end on lap 30. With JFR_97 retired XCR_Gage49 had a comfortable lead over h0ots. As h0ots looked to reel XCR_Gage49 in and challenge for the lead, he had an electrical problem and was forced to pull into the infield.

With JFR_97 and h0ots in the pits, that left XCR_Gage49 with about a 3 second lead of VLR_McGee and he would cruise on to victory. With this win XCR_Gage49 becomes the 1st person to win 3 in a row in MLD history.
