The National Late Model Series arrives in Kennedale, Texas early Thursday morning.  It’s a chilly morning with the sun hidden by dense clouds.  The radio is giving reports of storms moving in from the north.  Officials feel there is plenty of time to get the race in.  But to be sure everyone is warned they are not waiting.  “When it’s your race be lined up and ready or we’ll start without you” warns the Race Director.

Tonight’s format will have 3 cars to transfer to the A-main from each heat and 4 from the B-Main to transfer.

The winner of heat 1 is ERL_Goat.  Coming in 2nd would was BLS_34 and 3rd was ERL_BLKJAK followed by Simon, XCR_B58, IFRT_Jim, and woowoo43.

The winner of heat 2 was Wildman.  Coming in second was WDS_85 and 3rd was VLR_Shock followed by IFRT_RB, IFRT_14, ERL_Turbo 6th.  ERL_Mindstorm finished 7th after a DNF caused by contact with IFRT_14.  And 8th was VLR_Rampage with a DNS after equipment failure before the race.

The BZB Embroidery Dash winner is Wildman.  2nd was WDS_85 and 3rd was ERL_Goat followed by ERL_BLKJAK, VLR_Shock, and BLS_34.

The winner of the B-Main is IFRT_RB followed by XCR_B58, IFRT_Jim, Simon, VLR_Rampage, woowoo43, Doit 49, ERL_Turbo, and IFRT_14.

The rain holds off long enough to get to the feature but the clouds are rollin’ in fast.  The green flag drops and the race is on.  VLR_Shock leads them into turn one.  The competition is fierce up front as positions change throughout the race until Wildman takes the point and runs with it to the checkered flag.  Wildman wins with VLR_Shock coming in 2nd.  WDS_85 comes in 3rd followed by ERL_Goat, ERL_BLKJAK, XCR_B58, IFRT_Jim, BLS_34, Simon, and IIFRT_RB.

Post race news shows ERL_Officials take 5 points from IFRT_14 for the race end in contact with ERL_Mindstorm.
