Hartford, OH (July 31, 2011) - Sharon Speedway saw race 8 of the 12 race Heat Wave schedule with 13 cars in the pits.

In Heat 1, BLS_34 went wire to wire with BLS_42 finishing right behind him in 2nd and XCR 58 taking the final transfer.

Heat 2 went to Doit 45 with Doit 10 and Doit 3 getting the transfers.

BLS_42 took home the dash with Doit 3, Doit 45, BLS_34, Doit 10 and XCR 58 rounding out the field.

The consi saw VLR_Shock take the checkers with VLR_McGee, IFRT_67r and JFR*Jim taking the final transfers. Squirrel, JFR*97 and joshow20 had to load up early.

The race started off with the field close together into turn 1 and out of 2. In turn 3, Doit 10 and IFRT_67r made contact and lost track time. Doit 3 jumped out to the lead and would never look back. From 3rd on back the racing was feirce with a few 3 wides before JFR*Jim and Doit 10 hooked between turns 1 and 2. The field was not getting into single file with Doit 3 up in the lead followed by BLS_42 and VLR_Shock who has already made his way up from 7th. XCR 58 hits a tire and loses 3 spots. While chasing down 2nd, Shock hits a tire and loses 3rd to Doit 45. Shock begins his move on Mav but Mav relentlessly refuses to let Shock back. The fans go crazy over the action. Shock gives Mav a bump then takes the spot but now JFR*Jim gets involved with the race for 3rd.

Your not missing a thing out front as Slammer has a commanding lead. Mav moves back under Shock and retakes 3rd with Jim all over them. Shock beats on Mav but to no aveil. Shock finally gets back around Mav and now Jim makes his move on the low side but cant get it done. The checkered flag waves for Doit 3 taking his first XCR win. BLS_42 took a runaway 2nd, VLR_Shock muscled his way back to 3rd, Doit 45 held off JFR*Jim for 4th, VLR_McGee got 6th, BLS_34 ended up 7th, XCR 58 got 9th and IFRT_67r wound up 9th. Doit 10 dropped out around half way after being involved in a few skirmishes.
