Bloomington, IN (January 24, 2011) — Eighteen drivers loaded up and drove 631 miles from a 5/8 mile track in Muskogee, Ok to the 1/4 mile Bloomington Speedway in Indiana.

Heat 1 would be an all Do!t show as Do!t 5 would win with Do!t 42 getting the second transfer spot with ease after a fierce battle took place for third between Doit 3, VLR_Shock, and Doit 42, with Shock barely holding off Doit 3 for third.

In heat 2 Rac would get to the lead and hold off a hard charging Ice for second. Ice would go off the track allowing BLS_D*K* to grab his pass to the dash, before Ice settled for third.

In the final heat of the night, Heat 3, BLS_F1yer was able to go from the back to the front outrunning fellow back-row starter VLR_Wheel for the win.

The “Snicker’s” Dash would see F1yer get to the bottom and pass Do!t 5 for the win. D5 would get 2nd with Do!t 42, Rac, Wheel and D*K* rounding out the field.

The “B” main would see last week’s winner, VLR_Shock, lead from start to finish with Do!t3 getting around Ice for the 2nd transfer spot. Ice would come home 3rd with VLR_Rampage making his 1st WFO feature getting the last transfer spot of the night.

The “A” Main was set to kick off with F1yer and D5 on the front row on this tight ¼ mile track. Early on would be contact when Rac would run into turn 1 and not be able to check up in time and would get into D42 who in turn would get into F1yer.

This would allow some of the speed in the back to come to the front as Shock and Ice was making their way through the field. However D5 would use this incident to gain a healthy lead and was content to run the high line. F1yer would lose 2 spots back to 3rd and Shock was moved up to 2nd.

By lap 12 F1yer had caught back up to Shock and was able to make the pass on lap 16. Their side by side racing had allowed Ice to make up some ground on them but was still a few car lengths back. Once F1yer cleared Shock they would start to run down D5 who was running the high line for all it was worth.

On lap 19 it would be a 3 way battle and Ice would run them down to make it 4 cars within .1 seconds of each other. D5 and F1yer would move to the top groove while Shock and Ice would once again team up and run on the bottom.  With the 4 cars battling this allowed BLS_D*K* to catch the leaders making it a 5 car fight with 4 laps to go.

Shock would not come off the bottom and would get to the lead taking Ice with him. F1yer would get into Ice just a little bit allowing Shock to gain just enough of an advantage to grab the checkers and the $25,000 check that goes along with it.

Ice would come home 2nd and DK would grab the 3rd spot. F1yer would come home a disappointed 4th with Do!t 5 rounding out the top 5.

VLR_ Wheel would finish 6th with teammate VLR_Rampage getting 7th. Do!t 42, Do!t 3, and Rac would complete the A Main field.

Shock’s win made him an impressive 2 for 2 this season at WFO. “Man I love these cars, I can win on the big tracks and the small tracks now so I am going to be a force this season at WFO. I hope I can keep this up because I am on such a roll right now, everything is just going my way.”

We would also catch up with Ice, “Shock is in a league of his own right now. He is winning everywhere he goes and he’s on one of those streaks that you’re going to have to be perfect to beat him. Tonight I wasn’t and he got the best of me again.”

A dejected F1yer was at his trailer, “I had a great car but I really think the contact early cost me the win tonight, I was almost clear for the lead and nearly got spun out. But that’s how dirt racing is sometimes. I’ll try to come back next week and improve on my finish and we will see how it goes.”

BLS_23 was in a little more chipper mood. “Dang I had a great run tonight. I got in that accident early and had to scratch and claw to get back in a position where I could win the race. Had some bumping and banging but that’s short track racing at its best. I’m going to try to make it to a few shows this year and we will see how it goes.

Come join us next week as the WFO Show travels to Georgetown for this drafty little ½ miler. Should me a great show!!!
