I for one have never liked Dirtfactor. I just cant get the feel of those cars and ive taken breaks from dtr2 and practiced soley on DF and it just never clicked.

Alot of the guys that are really good over in DF however did get their start in DTR2!

ASk Wheel bout that, he led 49/50 laps, and while he was coming to the finish line to win (in a big fast crowd) Shock and I got tangled up, I went to the infield and hit esc thinking I would come right out of the game, which let my car go up the track (while I was fumbling around trying to grab my mouse to click exit to monitor) which in turn ended up right in the middle of the backstretch while the leaders were coming. Wheel clipped my car and it cost him the race!!! I got YELLED at for not esc fast enough (not by Wheel, he was understanding) but by the WHOLE RFactor crowd!!! It is more realistic if you don't dissappear, in that you get to wheel it to get faster, but if you don't have THE BEST cpu graffix your gonna hate it. I only got 12 frames per second and had EVERYONE helping me to get it better, but when 9 or more cars were on the track, the game glitched so much it couldn't read my moves fast enough. If I was getting yelled at Dirt, I can imagine what will happin to you. If I was you, I would DELETE RFactor and try to run DTR2 without hitting ppl first!

15 sec to escape out? Man Jason you must have a dinosaur computer lmao cause when I escape it takes me right to the main screen in 1 second...why hate on a mod or try to talk someone out of it who's just gonna race dtr2 and rfactor anyways? I might be taking it the wrong way but it seems like you got a serious problem with it. Just cause rFactor isn't what you want it to be doesn't mean its not fun for others...and you don't see any guys over there talkin crap about dtr2 when me or someone else mentions it while were in browser cause I have a couple times straight up told them "I'm gettin off of here and goin to race some dtr2 where I know I won't get wrecked or talked to like crap" when people are actin stupid over there, which there is a lot of idiots on that game I admit and a lot of assholes too! If you don't have a good graphics card just go in the settings and turn everything on low, thats what I had to do with my old computer and it worked fine but with this new one I can have everything on high and 40 cars in a server and mine wont skip or glitch one bit. DTRFactor, BOZ Sprint Cars, and Dirt Latemodel 1.4 are the only mods I choose to play over there, all the others are shitty except maybe VHRFactor and I never tried SCE but it sounds like fun. I'm not tryin to come off as a d*** with this message Jason so don't take it that way cause we both know I don't have a problem with you at all and we're just speaking opinions which is one good thing about you, your not afraid to tell it like it is and I'm pretty much the same way. All I'm sayin is don't try to put a bad taste in someones mouth about rfactor just cause you don't like the game. I'm on a controller and was one of the fastest in the sprint cars over there and me and Wildman 911 are pretty much runnin with the top dawgs in the dirt late models now, hell I got a replay saved somewhere in my game where me and 911 qualified the front row out of 23 cars and we were the only 2 to break into the 10's to get those spots and it was on the new Cowtown track, I was on the pole and he was only like .002 slower than me in qualifying and we finished 1 and 2 in the race, full proof to what you said about dtr2 drivers can go dominate over there. It was fairly easy to dominate in the DTRFactor cars cause they were 4 wheel drive and you could almost hold them wide open on every track (not knocking the mod cause I think F1yer did a great job on those cars)

Hell almost all of them are from dtr2! Why do you think me, Shock, Wheel, 911 and a few others went over there and was out running them "big dogs" right off the bat. Try those dirt late models Ice they might be something you'd like, they hold big money races in those too, in the Florida Nationals at Volusia the winner got $700, 2nd got $200, and 3rd got $100....free entry and everything, 200 cars were signed up. I can't wait to see DTR2 get back to its full potential with all the people it used to bring, but from the looks of it, it's getting there, slowly but surely!

Actually Woods I have a 2009 Dell with the game card. The game+internet speed (DSL) wouldn't allow me to race more than 10 people without glitching. Like I said, I had MULTIPLE people try to help me to no avail. The reason I am telling him to not even try that, is becasue these cars are way easier to handle, those cars in RFactor has a more "realistic feel" (IF YOUR USING A WHEEL), in which you can use your brakes to start the slide, floor it and wheel it to get faster. If you did that in DTR2 you can kiss your ass goodbye lol. Not knocking RFactor at all, it's just difficult if you don't have a top of the line graffix card (turning everything off sucked)and Internet speed. I run SCE with No problems and it is RFactor. It might have been the wheel screwing things up in the dirt game, maybe it's just too much to read. BUT HAVE YOU SEEN DIRT RACE???? He will be banned for life after 1 event, sry Dirt but it's true!!! I have said it a million times, why in the world would someone want to race a race car with a flight controller? My philosiphy is, Use a steering wheel to drive a car, use a flight controller to fly a plane! Would you play an airplane game with a steering wheel? And I seen the prices on the X-Box Controller $90. A Logitech Steering Wheel cost $20 more, or you can buy them for the same price at Amazon.com. SO why not be more realistic? AGAIN NOT KNOCKING ANYONE, just asking why controller users and chase viewers don't want the most realistic view and feel out of this game, it can't be because of the cost, so there has to be a reason why!

I cant drive the in car view in DTR2. It was never a problem in any other game (DF or iRacing) but for some reason i just cant get the feel of the car when I run in-car in DTR2.

it is wierd in DTR2! When I hit the sapce bar to get in the car from the front bumper view, I don't move back at all, it just throws the doghouse in front, so I feel as if I am still on the front bumper! Guess I shoud rename myself BLS_Dragonfly lol

Lol he's gonna be on a controller i'm sending him and when I played rfactor for a long time when I quit dtr2, when I came back once I got the feel of it again in about 3 browser races I ended up faster than I was before. We use a controller cause its a game and dtr2 don't simulate real racing in any aspect except for competitiveness<<? sp? BUT I drive a real dirt car so I'm not too much worried about getting the real feel on here, and you can ask Shock I'm sure he will agree, even with using a controller on here you get that real feel, you can almost see when the car is biting or gets a good pull off the turn or spinning off the turn, if you know anything about racing those things just come natural in a game. Dirt will see he can't run balls to the wall over there after they kick him out of browser a few times for his driving and his smart ass comebacks that its not how it goes in either that game or this one, gotta have respect thats what its all about. A g27 is the preferred wheel over there from what I've been told and the way you talk about your wheel losing calibration when your battling with someone then we know for damn sure its not good over there, hell I would have done thrown it out and got a controller until I could afford another good wheel, them crappy controllers you hate so much don't lose calibration in a heated battle and wouldn't cost you all these good races and almost wins like your wheel has...Just my humble opinion

1. The in car in dtr2 sucks. Maybe after a long time getting used to it it's better.

Cross Racing Championship 2005 has the fkn best in car view ever, I actually liked the in car view on that game.

2. If I raced late models in real life I'd be more comfortable sitting on the back spoiler with a controller plugged into the key slot instead of using a wheel. I like using a wheel on the NASCAR games though, as well as CRC 2005

Shock loses calibration after every race!!

Sometimes I lose it during the race but it's too much trouble to X out and calibrate and get a DNF

He loses it in hotlaps!!! I lose cali so much now because I have grinded the gears off my force feedback so they just slip now. When I had my wheel working good, I pulled off a couple Championships and won ALOT of races, it's just been through the ringer. I have raced real cars all my life, mostly mini sprints and I wouldn't dream of not playing a "Racing Game" to it's full potential. Even playing this game and racing on the weekends, this game gave me more confidence to run harder and more aggresive on the real track. IMHO, this game, if done right (in-car and on wheel) can be a learning experience, I.E. passing cars is not as easy as just bumping someone up the track and driving under them, you have to time that just right, just like in real life. Racing Mini sprints, I HAD to keep my distance or your touching wheels and flipping, and I have incorperated that into this "game". If you want the most out of this game and want a real challenge, get a wheel, run in-car, and drive like if you wreck it's gonna cost ya, or you have to answer to the track owner. Do EVERYTHING that you would do if you was in your last bit of money and you had to win, but without trashing yur car. and VLR_Wheel wins mostly ALL the time, using a wheel and driving in-car. I ran this with a controller when I first got it! IMHO, I thought it was stupid and I was getting nothing out of it but playing a game, but when I hooked up my wheel, I told my boss that I wanted to just race online lmao!!! It was the BEST experience of my racing career, in that when I hung up my headset, my neck, back, and jawls DID NOT HURT!!!! It was a very exciting feeling in that I had to guess and hope the person up top would hold their line, just like real racing! Or that I could drive it in hard, hit the brakes and wheel it (when my wheel was working good) to make a good pass, just like real racing! So ya I have takin ALL I can from this game and used it in my real racing, like drafting lol, I really did it, all from racing this game, here is a pic of it. took my buddies car the #26 and was pushing my other buddy lol, I drove both cars during that year. But I owe my skills in Stock Racing, which I just started runnin bout 3 years ago to DTR2, for giving me the chance to simulate what I wanted to do on the track. I know now how far I can drive in over my head, before I will tag the wall, sure DTR2 doesn't make the tracks to spec like SCE does but you kinda get a feel of the car, 4x4 or not!

You are delusional Jason, your not that good. Your make possibly 50 % of the amains you attempt. And when you said Flyer makes 90% of all amains. That was a the most asinine comment i heard on this game in my time. He's missed 1 amain at that was ifrt opener. Which prolly ends up translating to 99%.

They have a step by step thing when you go to download it.

Once you download, you NEVER have to do anything more except click updates (for track updates and configurations), and download on the skins. ALL skins are put on the mod manager, so there is NEVER any searching for anything.
