Nah man I'm at work til 11 pm ct, my only days off are Tuesdays and Wednesdays...I can make Sunday and Monday league races cause I don't go in to work til 11pm that night

Ah. Alright. I'm pulling the 7am-3:30pm thing Mon-Fri. So I'm home for almost all the races. Actually gotta go in tomorrow because theres work backed up to do. Only races I'm not home for ar the ones on Thursdays and Saturdays. Those are Bowling nights.

Now you're 2nd, I'm 1st! OK, got a question for anyone who knows the answer. Ever since I came back my ping has been staying up, I race off a laptop now but its a good one, my ping stays at about 50 and seldomly jumps to about 130, but in the race i'm told my car is warping and floating. We had modem problems so we got a new modem but its wireless and I was still warping in the race and my ping would jump up still, but the modem has a spot for an ethernet cord and so does my laptop, so i hooked it up to the ethernet cord and went back into browser but no one was there, but my ping went down to about 45 to 50 and never jumped up one bit. My cousin WR raced a few with me and he said my car wasn't warping so do you guys think hooking the ethernet cord up fixes that warp problem? I gotta get this fixed before Sunday so I can race Volunteer

Its been my experience that a wireless connection always seems to have a higher ping. I'm not gonna state that this is always the case however if i'm on my laptop through my wireless router connection its higher than if I'm on my desktop.Also its higher on my desktop if I'm using the router.If I disconnect the router n just go through the modem my ping is lower.Hope this answers your ?

Thanks Lazy, that helped a little. I'm assuming when I hook the ethernet cord up then its no longer running off the wireless...anyone else have any input on this?

Of course a wireless connection makes a difference. your router or modem that connects you to the game is where your ping is measured by the game. if you are connected with a eithernet cable your ping will be a 1 to 1, basically no loss before the actual connection. now go wireless before that connection you have just added an additional latency (maybe as much as 6 to 1) that the game can't see or record, your ping can even be low in the game but you have this additional latency between your modem and the game. There is a very small amount of latency even when you add just a router not enough to raise your game ping much but when you go wireless you add a secondary Ping to the primary game ping. From my experiences this always makes the car go sidways right out of the corners and sheilds the car with a bubble that the driver don't notice but is told he was hitting cars the entire race. The best cure is to always hard wire your CPU, Modem and Router. Back when the game was made there was no wireless connections and the server sync. can not support the dual latency send and recieve times very well. Hope this helps you.
