Fixing the "computer drivers" on created tracks 13 years 3 months ago #9852

I have downloaded a bunch of different tracks off this site and off of bhmotorsports. However, whenever I race them, the cars bounce off the walls and 3/4 of the race is run under yellow. Any tips on how to fix these tracks? Thanks!!

Dan

Cause we race them online don't really put much effort into the offline stuff. If I knew how to do the AI better I would but since I don't I usually don't mess with trying to fix them since we race the tracks online anyway. It happens when we significantly modify the original track, though, to make it longer, wider, tighter, or smaller, though. It sucks for you offliners, but I am not good at the AI enough to improve them significantly.

I appreciate the reply, but I have no clue what this means. I am not programming savvy at all. I can follow directions pretty good, but this all seems like Greek to me. Is there a "LT for Dummies"?

THE LT FILE is the path the ai cars follows
the ai files tells the car witch way
to go when to turn and when to apply brakes

the lt file is the lap tracking times your laps and shows for the black flags most of these tracks the lt is right with them the ai needs to be re sized seprately

Jammin and Demonic are correct. I started the Midget version to 'Redbull Arena' and was shocked (pardon the punn Shock) on how the dang blasted, super looking small tight oval whick took hours of te4xturing, wouldn't run without the black flag issue happening. Consequently, I shelved it. But ur problem does lie with the ai folder. The Record sets the path in which the cars race and as Shock said, these days we want a visually great looking track, that's different to anythi9ng welse we've seen, right....? We are pushing out the walls or bringing them in, which in this case as uv said, has caused the cars to bang into the walls. Go to the Editors section and DL my A1 for Dummies in 3 parts... If that is not in plain enough English fopr anyone to fathom out, how to fix a bad A1 so the cars don't rub you up the wrong way, then you better let me know which tracks you are talking about, and if I can find any time to fix them, I will give it my all..., albeit; I am not some A1 God. I reckon Shock is secretly, one of those. He did a fantastic job on 'Flemington' man...!!!! Must get some time to sort that track out. Poor 'NESFAN'. Where did he go to???!!!
