VLR FAST 10'S ARE BACK

VLR Fast 10's are BACK (2023)! Click here to view! Simply join 74.91.122.77:32263 IP in DTR2 and set the laps to 10 in default late models for your time to show up!

To get the game to work online, simply download RivaTuner Statistics Server and click the + sign to add dtr2.exe and then set the frame rate to be 120FPS!

Is there any way to get ahold of the people who coded dtr2 and maybe ask them?

F1yer said he tried, he talked to some guy who made the game I guess, not sure if he asked him about removing the draft. If it can done outside of the engine, as in stuff we can mod, it can be figured out with some effort, I'm just not sure anyone has made that effort.

The way around it is to make the tracks as slick as they are supposed to be. Right now these tracks are like running asphalt. I barely move my wheel at all when running my fastest times, while if I move it more than an inch in either direction or "saw" at it, I lose ALOT of time. Now the only time I ever had that same situation was when runnin asphalt. I have however been able to "draft" on a 1/4 mile dirt track (Kokomo) DB. It is possible if you know how to do it. The air will move for any race car on any kind of track, just has to be done right. IMO if these tracks were made VERY slick you wouldn't get as much drafting going on. It is inevitble to try to stop the draft when exiting or entering the corners because that is the law of physics. On BIG dirt tracks, the wider cars suck up big time, when they won't in the sprints becasue of aero.

One way to prevent the bump drafting would be to use ghost cars. I think theres a few chassis around left.
A main wins: 151*'

if draft gets taken out of dtr2 we would more than likely have to reconfigure every track we make so people can pass.the tracks made these days are multigroove and about the only way to pass people is to use the draft we have today.If drafting was taken out of DTR2 the number of people would be cut in half because people would be gettin more pissed than they are now with gettin ran over,walled or even worse shitty slidejobs.DTR2 has had draft on it from day 1 and we dealt with it for years.No need to go into trying to re-engineer the entire game because 1 league doesnt allow bump drafting.The best thing to do is help people better understand how drafting and bumpdrafting on this game works.You dont have to ride on someones ass all the way around a DTR2 track for the draft to work and be fast with.If drafting is done properly you can ride 1-2 car lengths behind someone about half throttle and run faster times then them.People just have to learn to leave more room all the time and learn how when and where they can use that draft to their advantage without running over someone.

I think draft should be taken out for when I'm faster and guys beat me with it (Wheel).

And that race last night sucked with no bump drafting. It probably made for even more wrecks than usual IMO

I want to publicly apoligize to everybody involved in last nights race. I wish i had known i would/was haveing caused the warp problem. If i had known that we would have run 2-25 lappers instead. But thats all im going to apoligize for, is that wrong call. This is an older track, a track where bump drafting doesnt work as well as on newer tracks and for that reason i decided to not allow bump drafting. If you didnt like that decision then dont race. Every league has its own rules drivers have to follow or not race there, or not follow and get penalized its that simple. Raced right the slingshot draft is very effective on the IFRT-Mile. What got me fired up on this subject was watching Starnes and VLR-Brad, in the prelude, bumpdraft right through BLS-23 like he was a ghost car. Now these 2 guys supposedly are pros at bumpdrafting. So if thats the way bumpdrafting is done by the pros we will ban it from our races. Thats why i did what i did with not allowing bumpdrafting. So thank those 2 guys. Racing and respect sure isnt what it used to be. Im very disappointed in the quality of races, driver respect towards one another and leagues. Terrible. With that said due to my busy schedule all i will have time for is running a IFRT members only league and the offline series and i hope alot of you guys give it a try and support it. It can really be a fun thing to do. I will be back in October some time after my season winds up. Have great racing over the summer everybody.

Well that's why you don't believe Starnes when he says he's a pro. I just know that some of us can bumpdraft without pushing someone all the way through the corner or through another car. Last night it just made it where one guy would get a lead and everyone battling for second by trading slingshots. If we could have drafted we could have caught the leader who was all alone, but we were actually going slower than if we were by our self cause we had to pass each other several times a lap to avoid hitting.

Most of us know better than to push deep into a corner at that track and to push someone into another car. You said if a car froze or all hell broke loose the race would keep going but yet bump drafting was banned even though a froze car would fk a race up way more than bump drafting...I wasn't there the last week so I don't know what Starnes did but that's why you never listen when Starnes says he's a pro

Sorry i havent made any of the IFRT shows since youve came back Farmer.Ive been busy with taking on more stuff at work and now im helping coach my kids baseball team so ive really been pushed for time as of late.Youre 100% correct about its your league and your rules,if people dont like them then dont run.This is not a personal attack at anyone but,some people feel it would be best to have a global set of rules every league should follow.I feel that is what makes DTR2 so much better than any other game.We have more creativity in DTR2 than any other game out there.Even though we are limited to number of people in the servers that alone keeps everyones minds workin on new and very unique ways to keep everyones interests spiked.VLR runs a qualifying format,BLS is going to try a tier system,ERL has their dual Amain format and many more great formats.Everyone is always thinking outside the box to keep this game new and fun and id personally like to thank every person who is or has ever ran a league on this game for all of the time,thought,planning,execution and fun they have given us.
