I painted 5 pro stock cars, put them in the skins folder. When I click through the ps car skins after about 4 or 5 the game shuts down and I get an error message that said ( expected 24-bit tga and then the path of the car ) any idea?

Zip up the skins and attach them to your post in here, I'll take a look at them and see if I can figure it out.

I can unzip things by just clicking on them but I' m not sure I can zip up anything. On my old computer had zip software on it. when I got this windows 7 computer years ago. It would just unzid things so I'm not sure how to now.

Should be able to. Just right click on your desktop, go to New, New Compressed (zipped) folder. I was able to do that on my old laptop that ran 7.

Ok here. I plugged them into my game and it gave me the same error, so I copied each file over a template that I have and have used, deleted what was already in my game and repasted them in. They work in my game now. Oh and you had 3 of them set to have the automatically placed default numbers like the default skins have so I fixed that for you.


What did you use to paint these?

On these I used a program called Painter 2016 because I’m more familiar with it and because I am a digital Painter. But I do have Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop but I’m not very familiar with them very much.

Now that I can see what they look like in the game I see I still need to do some work on them.

What I’m trying to do is to make an off line series of the cars and drivers when I was a little kid. So I’m going to have a lot of questions. Such as how do you rate the computer AI drivers fastest to slowest? I have NR2003 and most of the Papyrus racing game. I know all about them but not much about DTR2. I like the way it does heat races and points.

In the series STR file, after all the tracks are filled out it asks for 60 drivers. Driver 0 will be faster (slightly) than Driver 1 so on and so forth.
