Hi all. I'm new to the forums and am amazed by all the content here. Especially all the Iowa tracks!

I'm attempting to make an offline series and hope to make some using Iowa tracks. I'm stuck with the first one thought and can't figure out why.

I'm attempting to use the SNAS Pure Stock chassis for this first series. I've check spellings in everything about 8 times and I don't think there is a mistake. I'm a little confused in the driver's section. One of the readme files says to use the car name under the car.str file yet it seems other series I've looked at use the car skins. I've tried it both ways and it isn't working.

Do I have to assign a number to every driver? Could that be the problem?

Anyone willing to take a look at this file and tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'm hoping to learn how to create offline series, but I keep getting the registry restore error.

Right now I'm using the SNAS Pure Stock chassis. I have everything downloaded and folders in my data folder.

ill try help but im offline at moment so. class u want is SNAS Pure Stock chassis. on class on str file make sure class is pro stock or if its defaulted to a class of its own ur need have that name in class. sounds confusing but not, 2nd u dont have to issue # for every driver pc do that auto. only do that if u have a driver u want to have at that #. skins for drivers are what the folder name is for each skin of that driver like exp. i lable my skins like such- Ps Hoover. or u can do is snas hoover. there help files on doing offline read them there help u have beter idea what ur doing best thing do is trial error

One thing that almost everybody seems to overlook is that a new series will not appear in an already existing save file. After you getit squared away and into the game you'll have to start a new save file to be able to race in the new add on series.
A main wins: 151*'

B main wins: 50

C main wins: 5

D main wins: 1

Dash wins: 133

Heat race wins: 339***

Championships: 15*

Thanks for the responses guys. J-Mac I've seen you post that advice many times as I've been searching to try and figure out what I'm doing incorrectly. Thanks for the reminder. My plan is to make 1 series as a test and then make a bunch and start a new career once I'm done.

I have the class labeled SNAS Pure Stock. Under drivers should I use the following:

or should it be:

[driver 0]

car = SNAS Pure Stock\\0

If it is not that I must have a mistake that I'm missing. I might just start over and be more careful following the template.

Use the first one, where you assigned a skin rather than a chassis. Once you assign a skin, the game already figures out which chassis it goes on. ;)

Cool, the good news is I set it up with the skins, the bad news is I must have an error somewhere else that I'm not seeing.

No, I can't even get into the game when I have it in the series folder. The registry error pops up pointing to the series file.

just guessing but , you may not have a correct skinfile or name or missing one , or have a double folder somewhere

I'm able to run the SNAS Pure Stock in game in a quick race if I take the series folder out. Also, I'm able to run the tracks I'm using in a quick race. Does that mean I have something wrong in the file?

Hi all,

I'm fairly new to the forums and I'm attempting to make an offline series. My hope is to figure it out and make a bunch of series to replicate the racing I watch in Iowa. I'm doing something wrong and I keep getting the registry error. I've looked for spelling errors and don't think I have any. I'm still getting the registry error. I think I'll try a different track and see what happens.

I found a couple of minor spelling errors in the series I'm working on but unfortunately that didn't fix it. I'm still getting the registry error when I have it in my game files.

Do I need to modify the skins to match the drivers name? I've looked at a ton of series files to see what is different in theirs compared to mine and the only thing I'm coming up with is a skin that refers to the drivers name.

Anyone have more ideas?

i see the problem its under the driver section :

Viper, the skins for the SNAS Pure Stock are PureStock1, PureStock2...up to PureStock6. I am using the skins for it. I tried making separate skins for each car by copying the 6 skins and renaming them to the driver's name but that didn't work either.

If Hancock County is a track that can't be used offline, would it still let me start the game? I still get the registry error and can't even start the game when I have the series folder in the game. If I take the series folder out I can run the game with all the cars and skins I've loaded in a quick race.

Does the registry error always mean I have a mistake in the series.str file?
