VLR FAST 10'S ARE BACK

VLR Fast 10's are BACK (2023)! Click here to view! Simply join 74.91.122.77:32263 IP in DTR2 and set the laps to 10 in default late models for your time to show up!

To get the game to work online, simply download RivaTuner Statistics Server and click the + sign to add dtr2.exe and then set the frame rate to be 120FPS!

anybody tell me how to get the winning anamation to work with a addon chassis? thanks

hey ya Hippie,
Winning animation is found in your (misc) folder. Open it and inside of that you'll see some grouped textures and a folder named (winning_animation). Open this up in notepad, and scroll to [car]. Look for eg
Late Model position = {3.5 etc....}
Copy and paste it in same area and rename to eg

Hippie Saloons position = {3.5 etc....}

your new class remembering to keep the name position in the same position of wording. Now, scroll down and you will see another set, being called [trophy], and just below this, are groups of classes. Find eg.

[Late Model trophy]
textures
position
scale etc

Copy and paste it renaming it to eg

[Hippie Saloons trophy]
textures
position
scale etc

Close the folder, saving as you go.

You will also require a copy of one of the textures within the first folder which will have eg

late model winner_m-1

Copy, paste and then again rename to

Hippie Saloons winner_m_1

If it doesn't generate your new car, then use the {generic" name and all folders associated with it. This should generate it in the revolving animation for the winner, if the other fails to do so within the game.
Also, if you require a different winning movie in the background,you can load a new one into your movie folder. I chose the one from DTR Australia which I got by extracting it from the data.pf etc folders dropping them on the folder within mods being ExtractPF. Brilliant stuff watching an animated bikini clad girl in heels give you your trophy. Just rmember to name it to the same one thats in there, unless your ambitious in wanting more than one movie. I have a theory if anyone wants to try it out.

Name your extra movie winning animation to...
win_anim_background2

This isn't swapping movies, okay. It's adding for that special series win.
In that first folder you ovisited for the classes, being the winning animation folder (notepad); scroll to section that says

[movie]

copy paste and then rename extra to

win_anim_background2
and your done; then save.

In your series folder you'll find all the series folders for game. open the one you want and inside is a single folder with str. Ppen in notepad. Scroll to

class =
difficulty -
num events -
large series = 0

Re-name this line to

large series = 2

Close and save.

Open up the misc file again and you'll see the movies folder. Open this in notepad and add within the line

available = {1,1,1,0}

to this

available = {1,1,1,0,2}

close and save.

Your all done with your extra movie in game on top as a bonus. I won't be held to blame should this not work for you. I know it can be a bit of extra messing about but if you get right, oh wow!!!! I will be pleased for you and any others that may try this at home. The class winning animation works on mine, alright. You an add as many classes as you wish for offline series etc. Let me know if you have any difficulties with any of this. I trust I've explined things very carefully. You can't break this game. It's not GTA series, but a novice will be left scratching something.

NB - Don't forget to make backups of everything you change. Just incase.

here is what you need to change

[ name of car class trophy]
help with winning_animation for offline addon series

so if you made a Super Late Model class it would look like this

[Super Late Model trophy]

textures = {marb4.tex,gold.tex,trophy2_handle.tex,late_model_plaque.tex,white_speckles.tex,blue_speckles.tex}
position = {-28.0, -21.0, 0.0}
scale = {0.145, 0.145, 0.145}
specular = {0.75, 0.8, 0.8, 0.9}
specular power = 35.0
env map tex file name = carenvmap.tex
[movie]



you will have to make a tex file that would say car class winner_m_1

so if you made a Super Late Model class it would look like this
Super Late Model winner_m_1
to do this just copy one and rename it
