I think people cheating does a lot more damage to a game than people trying to stop the cheaters

They will be caught in time.

At least now we can say this thing is done and over with. No more need to point fingers and scream "Cheater" at anybody (except me calling Rowdy one but thats a running joke and hes in on it) and we can just go out and have fun racing. I can't wait for somebody to call me a cheater. I'll probably die laughing. Even though there was one race it seemed kinda weird and I could see somebody saying something then but even I don't know how I did it so I'm pretty sure it wasn't cheating. Although me starting 8th, charging thru the feild and pulling away to win doesn't sound normal, but I guess I got lucky one race. We all know I don't cheat, otherwise I'd be upfront a whole heck of alot more.

I agree Bull, to some extent. I really don't have a dog in this hunt, but I do feel we need to keep the playing field level (No cheating). 90% of us all get along well. 99.9% of us do not cheat. But I do not agree with public posts and accusations before the two parties talk to each other. Wouldn't it be better to remove the time and contact the driver for a lil Q and A? There is way too much finger pointing that could be taken care of in private. Now if someone is blatantly cheating and refuses conversations in private or the explanation is bogus, ok maybe leagues need to be warned. But there is still a better way than tying them to the post in town square for everyone to throw rocks at them. I mean we all know Shock is a homosexual redneck from Tennessee but we don't start a post about it! LOL just kidding Shock.

I get along with everyone. I just hate to see all the bickering. Anyone who posts should be a member and being a member we are all able to PM in this forum. Even better, most of us have each others email. If niether is an option, make a post that simply says hey so and so, hit me up on messanger or what ever. Just a thought.

Karl and Shock, you guys are coming up with ways (or you may have folks that come up with ways) to improve the game. I think it's great and all necessary for the survival of DTR2. I just think we all need to be mindful of what we post in the public forums.

This is just my opinion guys. And for the record, I'm not defending or accusing... just asking if we could handle information differently.

I just gotta say one more thing and im DONE with this pointless f ' n topic...I and i had this convo with karl the other nite about it in teamspeak...So i'll ask all of DTR2.........Ok,Has ANYONE else noticed that since these "Fast 10's" has been put up for EVERYBODY to see has only started drama?...I mean really if ya think about it...BEFORE the fast 10's was put on vlr...if someone hit a fast lap...someone who say something stupid in the game chat...agrue about it for however long..then everybody got off the game after awhile,went to bed,woke up the next day..and it was basically DROPPED the next day..unless yall got in vent bringing it up...but the drama was NOWHERE near as bad was it?...I'll answer it for yall...NO it was not.......and ever since the fast 10's was put up on a site for ppl to see...ppl are all of a sudden hittin even faster lap times?..now i will not speculate on who is doin what..but its really weird how we all thought mid and low 90's was fast at Rodeo..and i worked my ass off to get low 90's by MYSELF on keys of all things!...and ppl even had a hard time gettin 90's even with draft...now ppl are hittin low 80's and even 70's?....same goes with Grove,Terre,Peak..now i did hit a .57 with draft at peak racing with wolf..my fastest ever there..but now all i ever see hit there now is all this 60's, 61's..now these times for some odd reason only started poppin up after the fast 10's have been put up on vlr and its caused nuthin but drama cuz now ppl can actually see these rediculous times being hit thats never been hit b4?..and now its giving ppl a reason to get on here,check the times and and then come on the forums and discuss who is cheating...Now in my opinion...Drama was NOT this bad about lap times being hit until they was now being posted on a site...Granted yea..its a kool idea cuz its something different..but..if its gonna cause this much drama...ya gotta ask urself..is this idea gonna be good for the game...I think the 10's should just be taken off all together..and just let them race in the server..hit the time..then let them ppl who are in there argue about it like that usually did in the Game Chat..cuz nobody was never gettin on here with all the drama like there is now....So..has anyone else picked up on this other than just me?

Rowdy that's not gonna happen because I spent a lot of money for this to happen. FUO and EVR have had the Fast 10's in the past with no problems at all so I figured this would work good, too.

It has got more people running in the browser which is great. However the difference between this and the Fast 10's that FUO and EVR did, is that they were private which took out a lot of the draft laps and illegal laps.

If we have to do that, we will, but I don't want to. This is a good thing for the game if people don't abuse it. With the money I paid for this I think it is fair to be aggressive about suspicious laps. If people are cheating then they are just ruining it for the rest of us who work hard to get good times.

Like I said, though, we may make them private which would hurt the browser once again, but it would cut down on some of the wilder lap times probably.

Those Peakview times and Rodeo times that you mentioned are all draft I would think/hope. I think if the server was private and there wasn't any drafting, the lap times at some of these tracks would be a lot slower.

I will address everyone else in private now, but I will ask to see video proof from anyone who runs a strange lap in a server by themself or out in front of everyone. I feel like that is fair to all of us who are trying to do the right thing.

You said you hit a 57 at Peak before which is faster than any of the other times at Peakview. Those times are draft that happen throughout the week, once probably every 5 races at Peakview, so yes eventually they will add up on the fast 10's. It's not like these guys are hitting these times alone...But yes Doit 11 please respond to my earlier post through PM if you know how to do so.

Shock - thank you for spending so much time, money, and extra effort in keeping up the VLR site, trying to make DTR2 more interesting and competitive, as well as dealing with all the BS that goes along with it. People must not understand just how much you do for this game. Without this site, it would be virtually impossible for a "newbie" to get started so easily.

There's also a big deserved thank you to Deadbolt, Ice, and Flyer (and several others probably) for adding information/downloads and keeping the forum "moderated".

The VLR site is NOT a site to be taken for granted, either in whole or in part. If you don't like something on it, tough shit. It's not your site. If you don't like it, don't visit it or participate in the "challenges" it offers. That's like going to a free car exhibition and saying "I don't like those cars, you should have these other cars" ... duh. If ya don't like it, don't go. No one forces you to compete in the Fast 10's. I'd be willing to bet 99% of the guys on here like the idea of Fast 10's. It gives other people that aren't always super a chance to achieve top stats. If I were Shock, I'd just simply say "It's my site, my rules. Your time's been thrown out." Others can judge on their own whether he's being fair or showing favoritism.

I swear some of ya'll sound worse than women. How about shutting up and taking it like men instead of crying like little babies?

This^^^^^ I blame all of you for her sticking her nose into it. And I agree. I've been playing for years alone in single player. You have no idea how thrilled I was to find out that other people actually still play this game since its so old. Now, I'm not sure about the rest of you, but I'm pretty damn grateful that this site exists. I'm glad the Do!t site exists. I'm glad that BLS, TXR and all the rest of them exist too! Even the IFRT site since I got most of my downloads from there first before I found this site. Now, instead of ripping and tearing each other apart, we just have fun and try helping each other instead. It sounds like a better idea to me to just get along.....

speaking to JMAC , well..... if we all got along all the time , and all helped each other , it would be dull around here

i quit taking the time to follow every series and update the schedule , i quit updating the winners lists with stats for the month and year
im just no longer interested in investing so much time into DTR2

as for the fast 10s , im in no way interested in that at all , so what do i do? i dont even try and run them - pointless in my mind

I don't say anything when I see a fast lap in the browser, you have to use some discretion when monitoring servers, but when someone enters a server alone a turns a fast lap you wonder what their up to and you point it out and they say they was testing a new chassis, you just have to say ok that explans it, and move on as I did when i pointed out the fast laps a couple a weeks ago. now that Shock watches his servers he needs to be a lil discrete about the results. I understand where hes coming from but you goto go easy at the beginning of anything new.
Now thats clear some things up Woods is no cheater he was simple testing the waters of Shocks fast 10 for fun servers, there is no award for being the fastest, there is no races held by the fast 10, Its just a fun thing to do so I ask you, if you fudged a little bit is that all that bad. Not Really, its a list that will be reset every Tuesday, Is all in the fun of the game. OK Doit 11 is no cheater I have watch him turn them same laps in the browser many times. I luv what Shock is doing with these Fast 10s but I would like to just let the fast laps go as they may. The fast lap Doit 15 got at Rodeo was a bounce off the wall he was worried he would be called a cheater, I was under a Hider Name (LiL0Me) and I told him not to worry about it I seen it, he thought I was Shock. Listen Felles lets have fun with this if we can make this work ill put up the EVR Quick10's on Doit's web site that will show all the add-on tracks and all the chassis. I will not do it if its going to cause all this drama. I will admit I have started some of it when I thought something wasn't wrong on the gen 3 cars when they were testing the gen3 cars for a new chassis, nobody knew because the cars were not renamed. I apologize for that i'll be more careful next time I think something isn't right. I would ask at this very moment to expunge (Forgive without predigest) WOODS and not bring it up again and I would like to have this topic Locked. no more needs to be said period....... Thank you Karl
