I have been throwing around the idea of a non shifting league. I have a car in mind but need to know how much interest there would be in this. Yes I know the work and the amount of replays I will have to watch, but think it would be different and fun. Please leave some input.

most ppl already runnin auto =you talking about runnin 1 gear only? like set 1st gear to 100 an 2nd like 70 465 that way only 2nd gear is runnin..

I have been asking for this for years!!!! I run manny because there is still an advantage there. Either with holding a gear in traffic or dropping into first and throwing the car into the corners is a big advantage over the auto drivers. As with any race car, there is no shifting after coming onto the track race ready! I ran mini sprints for a very long time and most of them had 5 gears, but only 4th or 5th was used during racing. 4th on 1/8 mile tracks and 5th on the bigger ones, but always 1 gear was used. Doing this would enable the drivers to spend more time focused on the driving efforts than shifting and driving. It would also bring the competition a little closer due to no one having the advantage of having a better shift point than the others. This will be left to the drivers ability to use the throttle. If we can get 1st gear takin out of the cars completely, and use a radius of 100 to 60 on the gearing and 5.0 to 4.6 on the final, it will great to see how people use that. Remember tho, these are All wheel drive cars, and I think that is why they use the combination of 1st and 2nd on the bigger tracks. I only use 1 gear on 1/4 mile tracks anyway and have been just as fast as any one shifting. I am Totally down with this and I hope all future cars will use this. Only downfall I can see on this is the bigger tracks where it will either "Whine out" or "bog down" leaving us to be frustrated by either not being able to get off the corners or not have the speed down the stretch. BUT everyone will be using this, thus everyone will feel the effects!! Can't wait to doit tho!!!!

I can run Thursday , Saturday or Sunday. Sunday would be good before the VLR races. Your the only one to respond, but really want to try this.

Would there be a fixed setup for each track you have to use? That would be cool.

Wish we could do that but there is no way to keep people from cheating on sets, they struggle to do that with other online games as well. The car I'm thinking of using isn't a auto shift and I will be replaying people to death to make sure I can keep it as fair as possible.

I do have a car to use now just waiting on servers

When i was first introduced to the game ..........i said WTF is this Shifting Bu!!$hiz.... we aint on a roadcourse. Personally i think its a good idea running shiftless... im sure it's been tried somewhere before but i ve never seen any attempt at it. Would be boggy on bigger tracks..... but in real life thats how it is too and its the same for everyone.

How are ppl cheating on sets?? i know ppl edit their gears if thats cinsidered cheating then 90% of the guys on here are cheating ..far as set goes it dont matter as long as 1st gear is set to max that way they shift they will spin out..

He was talking about everyone having the same set up in there car and not changing it.
