VLR FAST 10'S ARE BACK

VLR Fast 10's are BACK (2023)! Click here to view! Simply join 74.91.122.77:32263 IP in DTR2 and set the laps to 10 in default late models for your time to show up!

To get the game to work online, simply download RivaTuner Statistics Server and click the + sign to add dtr2.exe and then set the frame rate to be 120FPS!

I just found out from racing117 that Tom Ames passed away last week. He posted here a few times a couple months ago (tazman27j) and now he's gone. He was big into dtr2 back in the day and did lots of stuff for the game and ran some great series. I didn't know him that well but could tell that he was a really cool guy. I was actually reading some of his posts from a couple months ago earlier today before I found out and he was talking about starting a new sprint series and getting opinions on it. You just never know. RIP :(

Are you serious? he was not far from me! I knew him from racing, hes a big new yorker...i had no clue he was Tazman...Lifes too short.

I worked with Tom on a few of his projects ..DIRT Pro Stock series and a few other series..Was a great guy and super race fan..R I P my friend !!

RIP Tom !!!! You will be missed by the DTR community as well as those on the Dirt Track Digest site as he was a major part of the forum and other activities there.A Great person and a super devoted race fan.. Worked with him on his DIRT Pro Stock series and got to know him and his love for anything DIRT !!! www.dirttrackdigest.com in the forum has several posts about Tom so please check them out... Again RIP my friend !!

Let me know what you guys think about this:

How bout we have a memorial race in his favorite cars at his favorite track...And maybe someone can set up an account and we can all donate a few dollars...I know it wont be much money but we can at least show his family that we cared and we really care about our own in here.
So we finish 18 and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, 'Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know.' And he says, 'Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness.' So I got that goin' for me, which is nice

YES YES & YES!!!! I am all for it ICE!!! Matter of fact we should do this for other past drivers families also. I am all for the donations thing. That way the families see how much we really do care about eachother on here and not just look at this as a game, but a gaming family.

Very sad to hear this news.Godspeed Tazman.

As far as a series goes here is a link that Tom was working on a few months ago but i guess health problems got in his way.Maybe we could make this happen for him.

Not sure how or what caused him to die but this is how it said he was found:

per his facebook tom was found deceased inside a burning vehicle outside a business at 3am

Says he left the engine running and it caught fire...crazy. Seems like he could have made it out in time or maybe he dozed off?

Arkport, N.Y. – Police have ruled the death of a man found inside a burning car in Steuben County accidental.

Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the car on fire in the parking lot of a truck repair shop in Arkport early Monday morning.

Thomas Ames, II, 35, was found dead inside the car. Police say Ames parked his car and left the vehicle running. Investigators say the engine caught fire. No foul play is suspected.

if memory serves he was at a race track earlier that night
