St. Louis, Mo: The WFO Tour had 30 TNL haulers pull into the famed St. Louis 3/8 mile track for their season opener after a couple of late add ons. The WFO opener was one of the biggest opening races in WFO history. Tour promoter WFO Ice was very pleased with the car count.

“I’ve been really promoting this really hard since the schedule was released 2 weeks ago, I was extremely happy when we seen the # of cars pull in, and when you have drivers like Stealth, Wheel, Rain, F1yer, JJ, and everyone else I knew it was going to be a great show.”

After the drivers meeting, the pill draw took place with Doit 43 getting the lucky #1 pill and JJ getting the unlucky #28 pill. In a very stacked heat 1 it was Stealth and F1yer getting the transfer spots directly to the “A” Main with drivers like Wheel and JJ having to take their chances in the “B”.

Heat 2 would see Rain and Doit 17 advance while Jammin, Zombie, and Blaze would go to the “B”. In heat 3 Sidebite and Scrub would move on. Slammer and Ice would be left out in the cold and have to run the "B".

In the Snicker’s Dash Stealth would have the pole and never relinquish the lead with Rain, F1yer, Scrub, Doit 17, and Sidebite following him. In B1 action, Wheel would start on the point and never look back and Doit 3 would power home for the 2nd transfer spot.

B2 would see a 3 way fight for the lead as Zombie, Ice, and Blaze would be nose to tail for the entire 15 laps. In the end Zombie would pick up the win and Ice would get the final transfer spot.

After a great night of racing it was time to cap it off as 10 of the best dirt drivers on the planet got ready to go 50 laps in the WFO opener.

Stealth and Rain would quickly jump out to a lead as it would take F1yer a few laps to get in the groove. By lap 7 Wheel had moved from his 7th starting spot up to 5th.

Stealth would lead with Rain right there with him. By lap 17 F1yer had really gotten into a groove and was starting to reel in the leaders, but Wheel had made his way into 4th and was closing the distance between himself and F1.

A little further back Ice and Sidebite had a great battle going on for 5th. On lap 27 F1 would go into turn one and the rear end would slip out from under him allowing Wheel to take over the 3rd position and he would set his sights on the leaders. F1yer would gather it back up and try to work with Wheel to get back to the leaders.

On lap 30 Rain would secure the lead and begin to methodically pull away from Stealth and amass a .52 second lead until Rain would slip up coming out of turn 2 and the fight was on again.

This constant battling allowed Wheel to get to the leaders and the next 13 laps would be epic. The three drivers would swap spots basically every corner until the last lap.

Stealth was able to get to the lead with Rain and Wheel doing everything they could to get the win. However in doing so this gave Stealth just enough of a cushion to secure the win, Rain would come home 2nd and Wheel 3rd. Ice moved up 6 spots to finish 4th and teammate Sidebite would get a top 5.

F1yer would limp home 6th after handling problems, Doit 17 in 7th, Doit 3 would cross the line 8th, Scrub would finish 9th and Zombie would see his night end a little early and finish 10th.

After the race Stealth was celebrating on top of his trailer. “I tell ya this was one of the best races I’ve been a part of. Rain and Wheel were all over me. I think Rain really gave this one away whenever he made that mistake coming out of turn 2, which really just let me back in it and most of the time I can really make that work in my favor.”

Rain looking dejected commented, “Man I let Stealth have that one, he owes me one. I had an awesome car tonight and one mistake cost me that win, but Great Job to Stealth after taking a break to come back strong and get this win.”

After talking with other race reporters we were able to catch up with Wheel, “That race was awesome! I don’t know what happened to F1yer but I was ready to work with him to try to go get those two and he just broke loose and I went on, But the race for the win was something else. Three of the best drivers around going at it for a big win like that was fun, another lap and the outcome might have been different."

F1yer jumped out of his car and kicked it as we were catching up with him. “Man I had a piece of S%!# tonight. I was running along great and then it would feel like I had a right rear go down and it would snap around on me, I guess to come home 6th is ok. It’s going to be a long season and I have plenty of time to turn it around.”

Come test your driving ability against the best drivers in the game next week as the WFO Tour takes the TNL’s to the famed Attica 09 V2. We will be looking forward to another huge car count next week!!!
