so i just ran my first live races tonight and couldn't have done more horrible.... which is eating me alive because i know i can drive and race much better than i did tonight.... i do excellent when playing offline and am always running in the top 5 of my features and have won a few 'b' mains, a lot of 1st heats, and finished in the top 5 in two 'a' mains... i always have the faster car if not in the top of the pack. i think i just wasn't as prepared as i could've been. but i am open to advice, tips, suggestions, criticism (good or bad), etc.. so all of you vets here i sure could use it because i wanna be running up there with the rest of the pack.. for me personally its embarrassing to be getting lapped like i did. i know i am new to it and all and i know it takes time and everything, just open to suggestions, tips, or advice. thanks if you can help me out. i'm open to anything.

p.s. to the guys who was running tonight, good racing. someday i'll be able to run up there haha

Make sure that you have your game realism set to 100% professional or you'll never be able to keep up. The game gives more speed to you at 100% realism. Also, try getting used to some sets that you download from this website because they have been fine tuned over the years, and while they may not be comfortable at first, they'll feel better after you get used to them. Be sure to adjust the steering lock to help make it easier...or stiffer to turn the car. And just practice a lot. Nobody does very good their first race so don't feel bad at all.

ur fine my nw online friend. i wasnt thre last night but i know where ur comming from iv been racing since 04 and havent won race since 06 Having fun is best part not winning. i normaly finish last in every race i run but as u are im good offline as long as ur a true sportman and have fun ur have nothing to be ashamed of welcome to dtr2 online

thanks guys! really appreciate it. i always have fun when i race being that i've grown up around racing and dirt track racing. i'm always trying to get better. but i look forward to running with you guys more in the future!
