Who would make the better race car driver, Captain Kirk or Captain Picard?
My guess is that Kirk would be overly aggressive causing too many DNFs. Remember, Kirk blew up his own ship to just to kill 5 Klingons. While Picards analytical mind would have him thinking 2 moves ahead. Lets look at their most famous maneuvers.
The Picard Maneuver-punching your ship for a quick burst of warp speed, and stopping just kellicams from your enemy, making you appear invisible on sensors, and then firing phasers at point blanck range.......checkmate my friend. This would be equivilent to the famous "rainjob"
Kirk's Corbomite Maneuver- Basically lying to your enemy about the mythical qualities of a made up element called corbomite, which will destroy the enemy's vessel along with the Enterprise if it is fired upon. I have seen drivers go to these extreme levels of lying during tech inspections, maybe Kirk could get away with a major rules infraction with his ingenuity.
