Is there any way to get rid of the floating names above the player-controlled cars? One guy says F5 does it, but when I tried in the replay, it didn't work,

Nope. Tried it, only got rid of the HUD. I mean, I entered my name as "Daveybird," and when I'm not tracking my car the word "Daveybird" appears on top of my car. I don't know if there is any way to get rid of this, because I've never seen any screenshots without them. I guess the AI has the advantage on this one.

Ohhh sorry I read it wrong. And yeah I don't think you can remove those. Maybe removing "car tags" in your game options but I doubt it...

No. I removed car tags and this only affected the 1st place and next car to pass symbols. Ratbag should've made this game overwriteable on the small things like these, which is why I quit DTR2 for a while, and then when I came back, put a few spaces as my name and call it a day while offline racing, lol.
