Hey, I'm Daveybird! Nice to meet ya! Anyways, I've been doing a lot of NASCAR Heat and rFactor racing lately, but decided to race DTR2 as well. I might put some skins up. And I've got 3 questions:

1. Why doesn't UORA Candyland show up in the menu, even though I downloaded it and put it in the data/tracks folder?
2. Where can you download the TNL Mod for DTR2?
3. What are good gear ratios I should set my cars to so I can be competitive in online racing?

Welcome back to DTR2!!! You can try my setups, they are in the downloads section in the setups under BLS_Jason (v6!) Setups, they have most of the cars setups that are used in leagues. They are made with a Logitech MOMO Wheel so you will have to adjust the steering lock if you use anything other than a wheel. If you don't have the CD, use the NO CD patch found here www.teamvlr.com/community-menu/downloads...ities-and-files.html and you will be able to run online without the CD or by yourself!!

I don't remember you, but I remember NSDRA.

Maybe BMS will make an AI for Candyland to allow you to race it offline. There are other ways to make it race offline, but the AI cars will run in a figure 8 because that track was originally South Central. So it could definitely use an AI patch if it doesn't have one yet.

There are only a few things I don't like about DTR2:

FLOATING NAMES
Most of the custom tracks look like N64 disasters, although still fun
Even though you can turn damage effects off, your car can still get visually beat up.

Then there are some things I like aboout it:

A straight-out-of-the-box dirt oval racing game, one of the few
Bloomington Speedway
Kinda handles like the dirt version of Sega's Daytona USA game
Fictional cars forced Ratbag to be creative.

Ha ha ha ha Squawk! DTR2 isn't as hardcore as the "rF" game IMO, but I like DTR2 as the more "chill" game, to wind down and just have some arcade-style fun! Plus, it's kinda like a "comfort food" for me, since I was in 6th grade when it was popular, around 2004. I used to race the crap out of it, since it had Bloomington Speedway, my home track, already on it. I decided to get back to my roots, and then I found this league!

So you come here trash the game we play, but still want our help. RF isn't that special.

Sorry. I didn't mean to come across as rude. I can like more than one sim racing game, right? I play all three, the third being NASCAR Heat. I've played hours of DTR2 for the past couple of nights and want to get better at it, since I like, I don't mean this as an insult, arcade-style racing. This game, even though the graphics aren't as good as the newer games, is just as fun, and there should be many more leagues like this that still run DTR2 and have goldmines of downloads.

Theres currently like 9 different series running in this month alone. lol How much more do you want?

yea there are a still alot of teams that race leagues in this game. any way as far as a gear that would be competitive we like any racing game it depends on the size, slick or tackyness of the track for what gear or tire size to run

oh yeah and i remember nsdra as well i was on DRT witch was an nsdra league "DRT_RB"

The bad thing with bleepfactor is that you need a very good video card to run with more than 10 ppl, and usually more than 10 ppl on that game is a mess. Too many ppl that kickban you for being new and cuss ya out for trying. BLEEP FACTOR is a BLEEPING JOKE!!!! They have the R2 beta out now, but if your going to spen money to play that crap and I do mean crap, then just go to iracing, I know there are a couple teams from Stock Car Evolution www.stockcarevolution.com that run a brand new dirt sprint car mod!!!
