them are some pretty slow go karts! i race at a track thats 1h and 30 mins from where i live and they dont lift .. its like a fish bowl with a 35 degree bank its pretty intense ride, first few times i showed up there i kicked ass till my god dam chain broke on lap 20 out of 100 laps... then said to my dad, thanks for buying cheap ass chains. oh and the chain slapped my arm a few times and gave me a good stinger.
liftins for pussies, dont let no one tell you otherwise

well bud, it's like this these were at nascar speed park...a "FUN PARK" so as long as my boy ryan had fun i did. but, these were the slowest karts however in the fastest karts which were at least 5 times faster and u had to lift going in a cpl turns. 1 particular time in these there was only me, ryan and his mother running..those 2 took off ahead of me..battled side by side until mama decided to race him a little harder..they got together with mama takin the son out and ol' pop cruised by built a lead and hadta slow letting them catch up to a car length then gettin back on it hittin the marks to cruise 4 the win :P .
dude, be thankful your dad bought you anything to race with...quite a few kids these days don't even have a "dad." i can only imagine if i'd been upset at my father and i may have felt the same way as you did, but mine was and still is "old fashioned" and i may have been picking up a few teeth off the ground if i'd told mine that.

lol that reminds me one day I was go karting with a buddy from where I used to work and him and this younger kid had the fast go karts and I ended up with the slow one (They all looked the same). Well those two just ran off and left me and were almost lapping me actually while I was wondering why I was so slow even though I was flat footing it. Well on the last lap they both wrecked each other and lo and behold about 30 seconds later I finally caught up and passed them for the win while they were stuck there :P

you have a point mcgee but it was a big upset, driving 2 hours, the chain breaks on lap 20 , and i was doing great running 4th out of 12 karts, that shouldnt happen ever, its not like i was running some nitro pumped 60hp animal motor... then i would expect the chain to break, not some modified clone only doin 7500 rpm..., oh and to top it all off my animal motor blew up at that joint while it was warming up on the go kart stand.. the block split in 2 and crank snapped. ill upload some pics of it tomorrow
