He didn't answer ours!!! Winds dried up the 1.5 inches of rain we got yesterday, still 7.5 inches short of the average and the next 10 days are spose to be back in the 100s. Rain didn't do crap for the fields, and Papaw said it was too late anyways, the corns already fried. We are cutting down the corn tomorrow and replanting with winter wheat, hopefully it will grow by october 31st! Big Loss this year, 1st time EVER!!! THANK GOD FOR INSURANCE (that Papaw been paying for 30 years)

Meanwhile Nashville, TN had their driest June on record last month with 0.24 inches of rain. Now this month they're at 8.38 inches and will likely make this the wettest July on record with more storms forecasted later in the week

we were in the 80s dew point last couple weeks. Got the word that 50% of Indiana is in Severe Extreme Drought. We cut down our 50 acre field and had to destroy the whole thing to get 70% of our pay! First time my Papaw has ever had to use the insurance! With no accumulative rainfall and our lakes dried up, we are now in a Water Ban! Wierd that Indiana would have this kind of season with us being in between the lakes and mountains. here is our weather no 79* Dew Point 112* feels like61 % humidity. We are not use to this at all!!! For mid August that's about the best you can get here, with it being fairly sunny. We haven't hit 90 here since July 8th during that big heat wave. It's nice out today with sunny skies. At least it's not 100 for ya!
