Rusty's decided we're gonna drive up to Eldora this afternoon for his birthday!!!!!!!

lol wow that's outta nowhere...makes me wanna go now!!! BUT isn't the race tomorrow? I'd have to take my whole PC up to race VLR Sunday or drive back really fast!!

Yep, race is tomorrow at 7:00. We're leaving around 5 I think, so we'll get there around 1 or 2 am. Unless we stop to sleep on the way. Hopefully we will. If you wanna meet us in Knoxville, you can ride with us! We'll have 3 ppl and 2 dogs in the car though.

We'll leave Sunday prolly around 9 and get home around 5 or 6.

if shock goes then it will b 3 people and 3 dogs!

DAMNIT!!! Wish yall would have done it at a later date, maybe the 4 Crown Nationals . It's about a 2 - 2.5 hour drive from here . Wish I could go but the wifey has to work this weekend!!! She gets off at 2pm maybe I can talk her into it!!!

That would be awesome!!! We don't do ANYTHING without the kids. We don't drink so the kids should be fine, but I WILL need one when I go for my "walk". I put the # in our cell, I will send yall a text sometime soon to let yall know if we can or not, then yall will have ours!!!

Watch out for VLR_Superman if he shows up. He showed up totally drunk at the Tazewell race!!

We made it to our first night's hotel in Georgetown, Kentucky!! Can't wait 'til tomorrow!!

Jason, I sure hope ya'll come; it'd be awesome to meet your wife and kids (and you too)!!! We'll prolly get to the track around 4 or so to look around. Racing starts at 7:00 and Deadbolt said there's 91 cars!!

Shock, I'm well aware of Trevor's drinking habits ... lol ... thanks for the reminder. And we were in Williamsburg, Ky when I sent you that pick. I can't get over how beautiful Tennessee and Kentucky are!!!

I don't think there was Ice, but I coulda sent you our "live updates" ... Deadbolt got 'em all night!

We had a great time at the race. Never seen so much dust in my life and just about suffocated on it. The track was super dry and only one groove (top). Not too much racing in the A Main, except for when Don O'Neal passed Billy Moyer with about 15 laps to go. He put on a show then!!! O'Neal ran up the wall every other lap, but was hitting just the right line to keep the lead. Jimmy Owens was taken out early in the race by Bart Hartman. He came back out, but stayed in the back the rest of the race. Bloomer didn't do much ... our local driver, Chris Madden, got 7th. The best racing was in the heats and C/B mains by far. Ryan choked on the dust more than anybody; I got hit by about 10 rocks total. And we got stopped in a traffic jam right at the Kentucky/Ohio state line for 2 1/2 hours, then again for 45 min. in Dayton. We've all concluded Ohio ppl cannot drive and are very rude. But all said and done, we had a super time as a family and watching the race. I'll put up some pics and (short) videos tomorrow for those that are interested.

Time to go to sleep now, early morning and looooooong drive. Rusty wants to get home in time for the VLR race.

We made it home! Took us only 8 hours to get from east central Ohio to upstate South Carolina. No traffic jams so that was good.

BUT I still can't stand Ohio and Northern Kentucky drivers!!!! Learn how to merge!!! Learn how to get the [bleep] in the right hand lane when someone comes up behind you and there's no one in the stinkin' right lane!!!! Try going the speed limit and staying there. Normal people don't go from 80 to 60 to 80 to 55 in 10 minutes in the left lane. Put up some dang street signs so people can tell where they're going!!! And tea only comes one way ... SWEET!

Ya'll gotta think, we are all farmers up here and just take in the beauty when driving. We love to drive 5 mph under the speed limit on highways and 15 mph over the speed limit in towns. We don't care bout city life or people. All we care about is if we can stay in idle with the corn. We try to drive as fast as it grows. Oh and the merging part, well the dang cows broke all the side mirrors off and the ol lady got mad at the goats fer earting her roses, and took it out on the rear view mirror, I would turn to look but my big ol corncob pipe burn my shoulders when I do! Come over to Indiana where there is NOTHING but cornfields and beanfields, we LOVE erveryone here in Kokomo, (just not outsiders ;>) but really IN is alot different, the only big cities we really have is South Bend (home of Ryan Newman) and INDY (home of the Andretti's) the rest is ALL Farmland, some damn good racing here evry Thursday thru Sunday. Fri nights at Bloomington, Sat nights at Terre Haute, Paragon and Putnamville (fastest 5/16 track in the world), and finish off Sunday at Kokomo. we havn't been much this year. The KISS (Kings of Indiana Sprint Series) week is great fun. The points are from the start at Lawrenceburg on Wed and the end at Kokomo on Sunday. Kokomo, has ALOT of GREAT shows and that's only 1 of a dozen GREAT Race Tracks in Indiana!!!

The easiest part of our trip was the one road that was through farmland! We went down OH 127 (I think) all the way to 75, then 275 around Cincinatti and the damn traffic backup. I love driving backroads; we even had ppl in front of us waving "go ahead" when we could go around 'em. It's on the stupid interstates that ppl can't drive!

We got stopped a second time on the way up (after the first 3 hour delay) in Dayton. As soon as I saw the "Left lane ends" sign, I put my signal on to get in the right lane. Apparantly the big-azz red truck behind me didn't like that, so he laid on the horn and then literally pushed me over so he could get in front of me. I was not shocked to see he was from Ohio. I went nuts and Rusty and Ryan just sat there laughin' at me cuz I was screamin' unintelligable things at this guy (like he could hear me). It just annoyed me mostly b/c he saw my out of state tag and I wasn't doing anything stupid.

I hate cities too...that's part of the reason we moved up here. I grew up in a city and it's just so dirty and stinky and too rushed. Spartanburg definitely isn't in the middle of nowhere, but everything moves slower and more calmly here.

Now, I want you to explain to me how you drink tea without sugar in it!!! lmao

for some reason they call it Unsweetened, which I thought that the "un" part had to be takin out, like "un"done, but they don't take it out they say it's like "un"lucky, it just aint there. To me if it's cold it's like takin a bite out of a crabapple, real bitter. but if it's hot, like coffee it's tastes grrrrrrreat. But if you ever have a hangover try the "Hoosier Red Foxx" its got tomatoe juice, egg yolks, beer, milk, water, orange juice. cranberry juice, louisiana hot sauce, salt, pepper, garlic salt, and cayenne peppers! It will take a hangover a way, cause your whole body opens up and says AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Plus it adds all the proteins and nutrients spent on drinking!!!
