Good Job on the Brownstown 2k11 track Woodall!!! We ran it for WFO last night and it was freakin fast!!! Ice was hitten 10.99 consistantly, and we were pretty much able to keep it floored other than the lil dip and slick spot in 4, but that made it real racey, with being able to pass someone driving in to hard, and not having to do much banging to get by. See I told ya you were going to do some positive things for the game!!!

Keep it up! Were looking for more 2 lined tracks to run!!!

I thought it was a great track...i think it was mainly cause i won though :d
So we finish 18 and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, 'Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know.' And he says, 'Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness.' So I got that goin' for me, which is nice

It was way to fast, over gripped, and one laned. Let's be honest here

Turns 1 & 2 has a low and middle lane,Turn 3/4 was 1.5 laned (besides the slick spot where you could pass people)and your just mad cause you cant handle being passed on the outside!!!! TOO FAST????? ROLMFAO!!!! what do you like racing, race cars (that go too fast) or lawnmowers, that go to slow??? Lets be honest, A Track is NEVER too fast, almost ALL tracks are 1 laned by the feature, and we are always looking for more grip!!! Wake UP Shock!!! Back to Reality!!!

Really Jason? I didn't see one car pass another on the outside. If you moved one inch from the bottom (above the flat part, 5 cars would pass you. The old Brownstown you could pass on the outside, not this one. And overgripped is when a track has so much grip that it makes your turning twitchy. I'm not mad about anything, and I KNOW me or anyone else did not get passed on the outside in that race.

I would like to see what the Gen 3's ran like on it before i give a real opinion on it. The Crates/Superstocks have turned most the tracks into bottom feeder tracks. PS Shock did you get the WFO Recap...I didnt know if it went through or not

I DID! I was passed a lot on the outside, because when I know someone is above me, i don't keep it floored and either tail whip them or run 'em off the track, i would get out of the gas, which in turn gives them the momentum! Unlike MOST people that run these races, I tend to let of the gas and check up in turns when in traffic!!!

If you got passed on the outside then you must have been real slow...Idk where you finished.

Another reason I don't like this track is because F1yer made the grip for the original, and even though we aren't the best of friends right now, he spent a lot of time on the grip of that track. Since we used different wetnesses last season, he made it run different on all the wetnesses, and put all that time into it while making it a multi-grooved track in the process.

I guarantee that he spent more time on the grip than Woodall did. I believe Woodall just changed the number in the track.str file from 0.90 or w/e it was to 1.20 or something like that...5 minutes tops, and he didn't change anything else on the track. I feel like that is disrespectful to F1yer and me for the two months or so that we spent on the track...IMO

K i usally stay out of this stuff but i do have to agree with shock on one thing i think 2k10 races smoother then 2k11 for simple reason it does have to much grip and with that i mean it pulls ur car loose now those on wheel not as app to notice it as those on controler but i do think woodall was tryn to do a good thing hes tryn to make it so noone can cheat with it and use the str to grip it and painted the grip file to one color so those that will do it cant mirror the file but hey wooodall if u want to learn more on grip and stuff hit me up man ill be more then happy to tell u what i know

To answer your question Jim, yes the outside pass has been made before with someone of equal caliber as you say. McGee will vouch for that one, me and him had one of our best races on Spindale a few weeks back, I got the replay saved, I stayed behind him the whole time, tried a few bottom side moves on him but he had the momentum off the top, so in the last lap I got a real good run off 2, drafted him down the back stretch and stuck it in there on the top and pulled off the win coming off turn 4. As Mcgee would put it "Woodrow, I still remember when you hounded me that whole race on Spindale and then made a dang top side move on me for the win in the last lap" it was one hell of a race, of course I always have good races with ole Rusty.

If you don't like the track, don't race it anymore. If you think it can be made better, do it yourself and quit whining.

Ryan (my 11 year old) hands me things he's made himself all the time. Nine times out of ten they don't even resemble what he wanted to make. I don't sit there and criticize...that'd be rude since he took time out of his day to make me something.

I don't know Woodall that well ... but thank you for taking time out of your day to make the track.

Of all the people to criticize someone over something that they made and didn't get paid to make, Shock is the last person I'd imagine.

I think you all have PMS or something; I've seen guys writing things I'd never imagine they would.

Not really sure what you are talking about, but it's a matter of someone (F1yer and me) making a track and spending roughly ~20 hours on it total, and someone taking the track we made and spending ~30 minutes on it before putting it up for download. If he changed more than just the grip then that's cool but the grip was fine to begin with I thought (F1yer spent at least one or two hours on it to get it right for the different wetnesses).

Now hopefully he will be willing to learn from Jammin (one of the best track makers ever) and when Woodall makes Brownstown 2k12 maybe he can change up other things and make it look better, race better, and be more unique. I did say IMO after my last post so there's no need to get mad about me for something that I believe.

Like I said, when you make a track (They take forever to do a good one) and someone comes along and takes that track, does one or two things to it and puts it up for download, you feel a bit disrespected.

And this is NOT anything against Woodall...we have had run-ins and he has had them with pretty much everyone in dtr2 over the past couple of years but we had a really good talk a while back and I enjoyed that...but if I understand right you are getting upset at me for stating that or whatever but you need to think where I'm coming from.

I'm not sure if you knew I made the original Brownstown or not from your post, but I did.
