Sprint Car New track record 19.225 set by Brady Bacon.
Jacob Poel and Ken Schrader put on a show in the modified feature before Poel threw it into turn four on the final lap and dumped Schrader. On the restart Wallace tried to put a move on Poel coming out of four when Poel got a little loose but was able to hold on for the win. Schrader was hunting Poel down on the restart not going to the tail and running him down after the feature. Everyone thought Schrader was going to spin him, but instead pulled up next to him when Poel stopped for his post race interview and I'm testing he told Poel he was #1.
Two time and defending UMP National modified champion Devin Gilpin was in the house as he finished 4th in heat number two. Gilpin got up to sixth and was looking o take fifth place when he got in to low into turn one and clipped the inside guard rail tearing up the left front. His night was done.
All in all it was a great time, and hope to make it back for Indiana sprint week.
