looks to me the lappers threw the leader off a lil and the other car knew that and took advantage and could use that as an excuse.

but yeah he should get the win.

Didn't look intentional to me. Looked like a racing accident. The guy that got spun came down as the other car was going up.

the guy in front lost that deal - he changed his line and lost momentum - beyond that its a racing deal!

Geisler, since you seem to be thanking everybody thats said that it was a racing incident, What was the actual call made on this? Or were you just trying to settle a bet or something?

The 777 got DQed. He was actually in victory lane thinking he had won the race, but they restarted the race instead with two laps to go, and sent 777 to the pits. Kevin Bolland is the driver in the 777 and he has a past of taking out people and being a dirty driver.

Bolland's team is gonna protest the outcome and yes I was wondering what people who didnt know either driver thought cause the sentiment around Lernerville's management is that Swartzlander (the 83 car) gets favoritism. I

thanks for the responses

If ya slow it down n run it in slo-mo you'll clearly see the car on the bottom hit a dip in the track which caused a push, you can also clearly see he was turning as hard left as he could but the push was still there, also the top car did change his line n come down some from the groove he was in,at the point of contact you can clearly see the car on the bottom brake'n to try n avoid it but was too late, after he clears ya can see him get off the brakes n go on...Thing about it is ,the officials officiating the race dont have access to the video we just saw and have to make the call on the spot, who really knows the exact circumstances surrounding either one of these drivers,so with that being said a call either way would'nt surprise me at all.

Re: Looking for Unbiased Opinions 12 years 4 months ago #36023

ok i have watched it several times like lazy said you see the car devolp a push as he trys to correct to pass a lapped car and when he notices he is about to spin the car infront of him you see his wheels cut away and his nose dip which means two things either there is a dip there in the turn or he hit the brakes to avoid hitting the car and the way to rule out the dip is because the car infront of him didnt drop the nose at that point of the turn this is called good close racing and like everyone knows sometimes shit happens and you cant do a damn thing about it but in my opinion he didnt spin the car infront of him to win
if you aint cant beat them then get a faster car or quit

C"MON MAN, this is "REAL" racing, there are NO giving of wins/spots. If your a dirty driver and you take someone out for a win, it's just that, a dirty win!!!! Now what happens at the gas station afterwards is up to them!!! PLease understand, I have been racing for a very long time, and I have NEVER seen a win "taken away" because of "dirty driving". I have, however, seen winners DQ'd for failing inspection afterwards, but NEVER for an incident on track. Why were the 2 laps added to the race? Did the 777 pull off under yellow, or did he go to victory lane after the checkerd? Sounds like some Shenanigans to me!!!!

Tough to call, especially full speed and no luxury of replay two cars racin hard leader attempts to take line away from 2nd pl. car and both have to check down for lappers causing both cars to pick up a push on the slick bull$h!t. If it were my call at full speed P3 would have been a happy man....I'd put both to the tail..... 1/2 the problem with racing is biased calls for track operator pets and biased calls against racers that have had trouble in the past.

Any track that allows dump and run should be on the NASCAR schedule

The cars went into the infield to weigh their cars as if the race was over. The 777 was sitting on the scales, the driver of the 83 got out of car and ran across the track to the 777 car. But yes after that the 777 sat in victory lane until he was told the ruling by the General Manager that it was dirty driving and he would be sent to the pits. The third place car was also ready to head to victory lane, thinking he had won also. The Thing is, the General Manager used to drive in this class, and the driver of the 83 actually drove his car for a year awhile back. If that makes any sense??? lol

The race was restarted because the rule of the top two cars must cross the line to make a lap official. So at the point the 83 spun out, a yellow was basically thrown with the 83 has the caution car, and the 777 would be black flagged and sent to the rear, or in this case, they just parked him for the night.

Well, the 777 (Bolland) not get the win and, in fact The 777 has been suspended for the rest of the year by DIRTcar NorthEast due to that incident, along with verbally abusing a track official, and having illegal two way radio communications. :pinch:

The 83 (Swartzlander) is only put on Probation for what he did after he got spun.
