Well my motherboard went out on my computer 2 weeks ago and i finally got told today. Im looking for a windows computer that will run dtr2. i have a video card but i'm not sure if it will work on a different software but it worked on a windows xp and works great. I heard someone was selling a computer or 2 for 150$ in lazys vent when i told bls kev to throw out his walmart special. The guy also said that it would run dtr2 great not sure if id be able to play rfactor with that it. I don't know a thing about motherboards or computers really but if a motherboard is junk does that mean the hard drive is? And if my hard drive is working ill be willing to pay 150$ for the computer some dude was talking about and have a guy put my video card and hard drive in it.

im racing on my moms laptop deadbolt, if there isnt a fan on high speed pointed at it shuts down ..

so im guessing going to a store and just buying a new laptop is out of the question?

he prob doesnt have enough allowance saved up to buy him one!

i aint payin 700$ for a pos brand new laptop...

Thats what I had to do at first. Then I got one of these little stand things and it lifted my laptop up like 2-3 inches and it let it get more air to keep cool. Now my laptop needs to be cleaned so I stole my mothers stand that has built in fans right under the air intake for my laptop. Blows cool air directly into it and keeps it cool.

i bought my newest laptop for around 500 bucks and its nicer than the last desktop i bought
i dont understand why people have problems with laptop getting so hot

Mine was kinda flat on a table without a way for air to flow under it......and I was also unemployed and out of school playing DTR2 offline for hour on end. Plus with it being in constant use for about 15 hours straight, it starts to overheat when the weather pushes 90s.

I have an HP Slimline. Last I knew it's the same thing that F1yer uses. It played rFactor fine for me, unless you get over 20 guys. I'm only askin 150, if it was any better then it is I would probably be asking more out of it. It's got a micro ATX board, with an AMD x2 Athlon, 4 GB or ram, and 256mb integrated Nvidia graphics. If that's not good enough I got the gaming PC i just built, but that's gonna cost ya about 1200 bucks.
