Titans owner Bud Adams has sweetened the pot by dangling a front-office spot, upon retirement, in front of Manning. Who knows? There might even be a share of the franchise in his future, if that’s what it takes.

He would be more familliar to the AFC South, then any other division, BUT Houston will SMOKE TN this year for the AFC South Title and just because TN gets Peyton doesn't mean EVERYONE else will be better!!! If he doesn't go to help Tebow cause it's too freakin cold there, and he won't play for TN, cause he knows there is NO CHANCE to beat Houston this year, plus ya'll have HassledBack, and he wont resign with INDY, and Luck needs him to, and if he doesn't think Miami has a Chance in hell, and Washington thinks RG3 and Garcon will be great, then he will setle in Arizona, IMPO!!!

He only spent 4 years there. 13 in INDY. He has 2 homes here, a Hospital named after him, all kinds of Manning orginizations. His whole LIFE is here in INDY, when he retires he will come back, and "Be a Colt For Life". So no matter where he "plays" he will come back to Indy for his job!!!

It doesn't matter! He CHOSE Tennessee. Indianapolis chose him. His whole family went to school at Ole Miss but he chose Tennessee and is a legend to all Tennessee fans. If he ran for governor he'd win easily without spending a day as a politician. Indianapolis probably has more Vol fans as fans than actual people from Indiana because all of them followed Peyton to the Colts.

He has done a lot of stuff for Tennessee since he's been in the NFL. He has roads, hospitals and all that other stuff named for him in Knoxville, too. And his #16 is retired.

To me it is not a big deal. If he goes there more power to him, it is like going home for him and his wifes family is from there
so I would be happy for them. Remember PM did'nt just walkout and crap on Indy fans. When last seen he was choked up about leaving here. So I think it is unfair to hold any choice he makes against him. Hey it will be fun to cheer for him before games and watch him getting off the turf during games!!!!!

I doubt that a "contract for life" would even be legal under the CBA. It would be viewed as a way of promising future compensation that won't impact the salary cap. I view it as just a good soundbite. Plus the Titans owner is an aging crackpot with no relationship with Peyton what-so-ever. For him to make a sentimental offer (that would only sound right coming out of Irsay's mouth) is actually in my opinion just another example of his eratic behavior. If I'm Peyton he would just make me uncomfortable.

The Broncos have a younger owner whose management team actually wants Manning, and has the latitude to make better decisions to take advantage of his presence. I still think that they are the most likely landing spot. The only way that Tennessee wins is if having the twins living closer to Grandma and Grandpa is of overwhelming importance to them. It's equally likely that that's the last thing Peyton wants.

Favre did tarnish is legacy somewhat by going to the Vikings. If he goes to the Titans I cannot wait to here Lamey call "Mathis comes around the corner and give Peyton a welcome home present that he will not forget."

I love Manning and everything he has done on and off the field for the city of Indianapolis, but going to a divisional rival will almost be unforgiveable. Him in a Titans uniform throwing TD passes in LOS against our team will just be a huge stomach punch that I could not take.

I know Irsay is praying to every diety imaginable that this does not happen. You know the game here in Indy will be on national TV and the chance that Peyton might get cheered when he throws a TD must be a horrifying thought for Irsay.

Ok Shock, I do believe this is the dumbest quote of the year...Hasselback and Locker???REALLY??? Manning is one of, if not the best QB of all time. Hasselback nor Locker could hold his jock!

I cant believe Houston didnt make a run at him personally. They would own the NFL if Manning is healthy.

Also whoever said that Manning wouldnt single handidly make a Tennesee better. INDY was 2-14 this year without him and are a solid playoff team with him...It was the 1st time ive ever thought a player that didnt play for that season should win the MVP because it showed how important he really is!!

He actually was voted MVP during mid-season. But you have to also know that Indy had NO backup QB that was worth a damn, and half of the Defence were either hurt or rookies. TN can't win with 2 good QBs how they gonna win with 1 great one. And like ICE said, Houston would DOMINATE the NFL with Manning!!! What do you pick..Pretty good or freakin Great? Reallisticly tho, PM would make ANY TEAM in the NFL good, no matter what...hurt,old, feeling like crap, it's boils down too, where does he feel comfy, does he want to win another SB, and where would he leave the most of his inteligence when and If he leaves. He wants to help people that is his thing. The best fit for PM would be Indy, with Andrew Luck or Washington with RG3. In Indy, he can mentor a kid who is JUST LIKE HIM, to be BETTER than him.
