How in the world can a team finish 3rd in their conference and still play for the national title! I for one am going to boycott all the BCS games and I know my 1 tv set wont do any damage but if a few million do than that will!!!

Well for one, because it's the SEC and their loss is better than OK. State's loss.

BUT it's still stupid.

Alabama already had their national championship as far as I'm concerned which was last month against LSU. They lost. At home. They shouldn't get another chance at it even if they are better than OK. State. This is a prime reason where their needs to be a playoff. Ok. St. and Bama play to see who makes the title game.

I think OSU's passing game would do OK against LSU. They gave up 450 yards passing against WVU earlier in the year. If OSU hadn't choked against IA State this discussion wouldn't even be happening. This will be a boring championship, though. Alabama had their chance and blew it. I will be surprised if they don't win the second time around because it will be easy to motivate them by saying how this is a revenge game and "you kids are lucky to have one more shot, make the most of it..." etc. It's stupid IMO!

Because the SEC is a harder conference to play in. Alabama just happens to be in the SEC West with LSU. Alabama's record is 7-1 in their conference and 11-1 overall. OSU was 7-1 in their conference (before conf. champ.) and is 11-1 overall. Alabama's loss is to the number 1 team by only 3 points in OT. OSU's loss is to an unranked team by 6 points in 2 OT. Hence, Alabama gets to play for the National Championship. Any other questions?

And as far as them losing at home already to LSU ... the Nat. Champ. won't be at LSU or Alabama, so they'll be on a more even keel ... I think it's gonna be the best game possible for a National Champ.

The NC game is in New Orleans...Trust me LSU will have a huge home field advantage

And OSU lost the day they learned about a major tragedy within their program. I know it was womens basketball but they we're close and it had an effect on them. Plus to be in the NC game you should have to win your conference (and yes I said that when OU got in after getting smoked my K-State).

Excuses, excuses ... the QB coach's wife died during the first quarter of the Tulsa game; the coach left; Okl. kept playing and still won. They even won the next game against Texas A&M (ranked no. 8) ... while their coach was gone to mourn his wife.

Yeah but Tulsa is alittle different than a Big XII school (And i love Tulsa). But i did say the day of that game that it should be postponed at least a day to let them get their heads around it

That really depends on wether they show up to play or not...5 games this year they wernt ready to play...They lost 3 of em
