I don't see anybody saying anything about Jimmie Johnson letting go of the wheel during the lap 2 wreck......

Wonderful Danica taught Jimmie that trick. Didn't work good for him either. In fact maybe if he was trying to steer the wheel he wouldn't have got slammed by the second guy who he drifted down into. Danica would be the last driver I'd take advice from.

Letting go of the wheel is a natural response.Especially if you've ever snapped a wrist or damn near wrung your thumb off.It becomes 2nd nature and just a habit you'll do automaticly not even knowing you done it till its over.

Jimmy might've avoided being hit in the side, but if he'd kept his hands there, he just might not be in a race car at all b/c of a broken hand/wrist. DW keeps saying that's the smartest move he's seen a driver make ... I hafta agree. I swear, I can't figure out why ya'll hafta pick on her so much! I'm not a huge fan of hers, but I think it's interesting seeing everything from a female point of view.

Now, I'm bored and I wanna sleep, but I hafta stay up and watch this race for Rusty! He has to be at work at 4am, so he's all zzzzzzed out. I hope Montoya never gets in a car again. What an idiot ... anyone wanna play cards or something?

Actually, the first time I saw her do it was last year in the nationwide race. She did it, I went "WTF??? WHY??" Now I understand and haven't really said anything knocking the letting go of the wheel. I've just never actually seen it before she did it. Not an avid follower of Formula1 and Indycar racing....so that was a whole new thing when I saw her do it.

DRIVERS BACK TO THEIR CARS!

Rusty Wallace broke his wrist from getting it caught in the steering wheel. And only Montoya would be going too fast to catch up to the other cars. Speed limit is 70 under caution ... he was going 95. Sure glad the truck dryer dude's OK! Montoya was making fun of him in the interview after he was released for the care center. Not liking Montoya anymore.
